- When my mum serves you nkatenkwan or groundnut soup, you will be always looking forward to when you get to enjoy that amazing soup again. I am sharing her recipe with you and I hope you enjoy it. The groundnut used in this soup is pure groundnut paste (peanut butter) with no sugar or any additives. Also, I use withered or wrinkled garden eggs in all my soups (if I have garden eggs) because Mama believes that makes the soup creamier and and tastier than fresh garden eggs.
Ingredients:
450 grams Groundnut paste/ peanut butter (about 2 cups)
3.5lb Goat meat
60 grams Ginger
5 medium tomatoes
2 large onions
4 garden eggs (ripe and wrinkled preferred)
2 habaneros
1 teaspoon aniseed (nkitinkiti)
About 1½ - 2 teaspoons salt, or to taste - แนวปฏิบัติและการใช้ชีวิต
It's good but u can add a little bit of tomato paste to the groundnut paste at the point of frying it. It gives it a better colour
That's true
Very true
You're right. Sometimes i add it to the peanut butter or add to the seasonings.
Hello my friend.I made the peanut soup and felt like I'went to heaven.I made sure I used the eggplant.2 big ones and I did not strain it.I want everything in there.I also used a lot of cashew and 1 cup peanuts grounded.Homemade oven smoked salmon oven smoked whitening fillet goat smoked turkey leg and cow skin and cow foot.Oh also smoked red herring. My 8qt pot was over full. Also 2 big carrots .I froze some and I murdered the rest.I had never tasted anything so good.I dont have to cook for anyone so thats what I will make for thanks'giving 2021 Gods willing.I will stay home'and'eat .My girls order food. They are vegans. THANKS FOR THIS RECIPIE .GOD'BLESS.
This how we were thought to prepare the right way, well done by showing others the original way of cooking traditionally and it bugs me to see other food channels showing it anyhow.
This is my go to recipe now for groundnut soup. My family loves and can't get enough of it! 👍🏿

I made this recipe during the pandemic and my friends LOVED your recipe that I used. I am back again to make it for my church freinds 😃
Ok fam, I need to say even though this is how I was taught to make groundnut soup, I don't use garden eggs always since it is hard to find where I am. The soup still turns out great but definitely better with it in. This is to say you can still use this recipe and omit garden eggs if it is not readily available to you.
I usually use squash in place of the garden eggs. And it tastes just perfect.
Sure. I hv never used garden eggs.
I am on my way to the Ghana store to get my aponkye nan
Tomorrow after church, I will definitely enjoy this recipe

You can use the purple eggplant take the skin off and you can use it as you use the garden eggs
Good job that you didn't forget our culture, thank you Zion the scriptures says remember the days of old consider the years of many generations ask they father, and he will shew thee thy elders, and they will tell thee, deuteronomy 32:7
So simple and beautiful! ! oh wow

Learning a lot.....Is the anything wrong with adding tomato paste to the ground n paste?
I just discovered you in 2024 and you have the same name as my late mum.. I love you and I wish to be your daughter
Yummy
You are the best cooking pls my name is mavis kwankyewaa
Kwakyewaa where did you buy your dutch oven pots
Hi love you videos. Can I use regular peanut butter. Like jif
Hello love. For a better taste I will say try and get plain peanut butter. You will find some in most grocery stores. Most likely in the organic section. Jiff and most other brands have other additives like sugar and the taste will be compromised.
Use smuckers creamy natural it has no sugar in it
Awesome, u can't watch it wen ur fasting u may get attempted to eat food!
I love you delicious cooking
Wow 👍👍👍❤
I'm a new subscriber. Your kitchen is pretty.

Where can I get the ground nut paste? I’m guessing I cannot just use peanut butter.

It's like making Nigeria buka stew- the over ripe tomatoes and peppers taste better.

You remind me of mummy 😂
Did you add 🌶️ pepper
Please I made it but oil is not been set on top of the soup but it's getting thicker
hello what peanut butter do you use please. thx
The only pepper 🫑 is the fresh one ???
quick question, how much roughly, does one spend in making the soup? ghc20?
You can even use less
It depends on the number of people who will enjoy and if you are the only person the quantity you like.
The type of meat will also tell.
Aside that it doesn't cost
@@adomadwoaantwiwaa9886 use less where pls ? How much is goat meat 1 pound , and groundnut paste 1 cup, before pepper , tomatoes, garden eggs, onions… my sister 20 cedis wouldnt have been enough even 2 yrs ago
