No, he is part of the problem. An interviewer should speak Spanish perfectly to properly pressure an interviewee or use a translator. It’s a disgrace, I am sure Bloomberg hires plenty of educated Latinx people who could have sat there. But no, send a white boy with mediocre Spanish. Bellow standard.

One of his citizens told a story. It was a mother with children. She went to the bank and got several bags of Venezuelan currency. Then she sent her children to the store to buy groceries. They came back with a few bags of groceries and some of the cash. She got angry at them and told them to "go to the store and spend the rest of the money". The children said "why, we have everything we need". Mom replied "because the money's value is dropping so rapidly that tomorrow the money is going to be worth much less". @@Templestone Somewhat, but that was later on. Venezuela's economic problems--according to the UN report--preceded the US oil embargo by at least 8 years. The country had become inefficient with bloated gov programs funded by and increasingly dependent on oil revenues. When their government took control of the oil companies, most private operators and advisors left the country. The public operators were not as specialized and able to run the oil companies as well as the private firms could. Thus the country was not able to weather oil price swings.

Basicamente, la entrevista es una farsa. Osea, un gran porcentaje de la entrevista es maduro respondiendo una mentira tras otra. El periodista tiene buena postura en verdad, bien profesional, hace las preguntas bien. Queda de parte del entrevistado responder como el quiera... asi sea mentira.
Yo creo (basándome en lo último que he visto) que Maduro cambiará su forma de relacionarse con el mundo, su imagen pública, la política y sobretodo el sistema económico de Venezuela, yo NUNCA he estado de acuerdo con la administración de Maduro ni de Chávez, pero está vez le tengo auténtica confianza y fé.

Lo que pasa es que el cambio que se hace es en el mercado negro. No puedes ir a western union, ni tienes paypal, ni transferencias internacionales. No tienes forma de cambiar tu moneda local "Bolivares" a Una moneda que sea aceptada en otro pais. Comunmente, el dolar. Entonces acabas por ir al mercado negro donde los precios son muchisimos mas altos. Si hubiera un mecanismo real de obtener divisas, pues, no habria este problema del salario super bajo. Por que el salario esta a "dolar oficial" del gobierno, que es "normal" entre comillas jaja pero las cosas en la calle tienen precio de dolar de mercado negro, porque todo el mundo solo puede acceder a ese. Es dificil de entender y sobre todo de explicar jaja.
Y no cambias los bolivares a dolares porque quieres viajar... sino porque dentro del pais cada vez es menos aceptado porque en cuestion de horas pierde el valor por la inflacion. Si un pan te cuesta 1000 bolivares en la mañana en la noche te cuesta 2000. Entonces si acumulas eso al mes, al fin del mes el mismo pan te cuesta 10.000 o mas. Es complicado hermano. Los pagos se hacen en dolares ahora. En un > 70%

The Scandinavian countries have less corporate taxes, less regulation, no minimum wage etc. in fact in Sweden before the 60s capitalism generated a lot of money and during the 60s they decided to implement the policies the democrats are proposing now, inflated government, more taxes, more regulation and that resulted in the exact thing everyone predicted which was a weak economy. Since then they’ve reversed many of their policies and moved toward an even more capitalistic system than america with the exception of large social safety nets and it has helped. However replicating their success in a country as big and diverse as America won’t be easy

@@Alexander-ev4kv it’s actually not a new concept at all. If you understand their economic system they are more capitalistic in almost every way. Like I mentioned lower regulations and lower corporate taxes and less government intervention in the free market. They do have larger social safety nets but their actual economic system is more capitalist which generates a lot of the profit to allow them to even have those social safety nets, it’s not really just a perspective it’s just objectively true.
