Does it keep you alive in book of boba. That trooper seemed very dead. If boba needed to take oxygen doesn’t that not make sense. I always imagined that it kept you nourished while dissolving you very slowly.
@@darthdarth4297 From what I understand it keeps you alive. It's digestion is so slow that it takes forever to digest anyone. A victim would be alive and feel like their outside was on fire while the sarlaac slowly over time digested them.
I remember George Lucas saying that he didn't realize how popular the character was and that had he known he wouldn't have killed him off like that. Which goes to show how much Lucas was in touch with star wars fans. He said he thought about shooting a scene where fett climbs out of the sarlaac. How cool would it have been in rotj to see the falcon flying out and over the sarlaac and see Boba fett suddenly climbing out.
In any case I hope the series will be good.

@@osleem7845 I don't think he ever intended for him to live. I remember him saying he wouldn't have killed him off if he knew how popular he was. It was only after jedi did he realize how much fans liked the character. I liked fett as a villain and he needs to be a villain. I kinda wish they weren't giving so much about the character away. One of the things that made him popular was the mystery around him.
At least it all worked out in the end anyways

You know what could have been a great running gag in Book of Boba Fett?
If they just never addressed how he escaped the Sarlacc at all. I mean, they present every possible version of the story as rumors being told about him throughout the series, but he just never confirms or denies any of them directly. Go the 'Jack Sparrow escapes the island' route with it.
Literally present a thousand different possible awesome things he did to escape the monster's belly, ways he did it in Legends, ways he did it in comics, ways he did it in novels, more and more ridiculous, inflated, obviously made-up urban legend level stories of how he got out, which he always reacts to hearing but never confirms or denies.
And then, at the end of the series, he finally explains how he actually did it, and it was just "Its mouth is always open. I have a jetpack, and a maintenence kit for that jetpack stored inside its storage compartment. I just repaired my jetpack, and flew out." The whole time.

I wish they did this. But maybe he never explains it at all because it makes him more legendary as "the only man who escaped a Sarlacc, and no one knows how... he's a bad man...".
You forgot the eighth time, where Boba and one of Jabba’s henchmen were playing games inside the Sarlaac pit. While the Sarlaac didn’t mean to be a prick, he needed both of them to get the f*ck out of there, so he burped them back out.

You made Boba fett returning to see the sarlacc a year later seem wholesome, when in reality he used the thrusters of his ship to singe the sarlacc and fly away.

There actually was another story where Boba Fett escaped the Sarlacc. Lando used two storm troopers, Tag and Bink, to try and distract Boba at the hangar so he could try to rescue Han before he could be delivered to Jabba. This failed, and Boba (holding a grudge against the two for something that happened on Cloud City) tied both Tag and Bink to a pole and kicked them into the Sarlacc Pit, where the pole got stuck in its throat. A few days later, when Luke is rescuing his friends, Boba falls down the Sarlacc Pit. Tag and Bink, having escaped their bindings, catch Boba's jetpack. The three of them got out, and agree to never speak of what happened there.
The Tag and Bink series is a spoof comedy series, but it is still very entertaining

I'll always love the Dark Empire way. It just adds even more mystery to Boba Fett. He's the first being ever to be found "indigestible" by the sarlacc and he refuses to elaborate further and just goes back to hunting down Han.

The mouth you saw in ROTJ was basically just the innermost ring of teeeth. The Sarlacc's mouth is actually a kilometer wide.

Dark Empire will always feel canon to me, and I like how "somewhat indigestible" could act as a reference to literally ANY of the other legends narratives.
So he escaped 2 times in legends and 1 time in canon. The rest are just retcons.

Fett escaped the sarlacc 7 times? You'd think after the first or second time, he'd learn to stay the hell away from that thing.
Alternate stories, not literally seven times.
Before this scene, everyone was left to their wild imagination thinking about what fate was like inside the Sarlacc - but this scene depicts it as not that bad really compared to all the other TH-cam videos.
So the Sarlacc was alive, did Boba kill it when he escaped due to it seems very still when he comes out the sand...

Relating to how long Boba was in there for, he was only in there for a day or so at the very most. The armor he wears is not a space suit, and likely has little to no air reserves. The Barge was not yet found by the Jawas and Cobb Vanth got the armor very shortly after the Empire fell, meaning Bob would have had to escape before the empire fell. I'd imagine he woke up about a couple hours after falling in and the rest of the time was him digging his way out.
At this point Boba Fett just has a running joke agreement with the Sarlacc. Someone should make a Sitcom about these 2

It’s telling in Tales from Jabba’s Palace is probably my favorite. It was the first one I was familiar with and most in depth since the story deals exclusively with his escape.
He could make this thing his hobby or something. I imagine him sitting behind a sign saying: 'for every 1.000 dollars i will escape from the sarlacc!'
Fun fact bobas helmet has a separate o2 tank that can hold 2 hours worth of Oxygen so he had to have been the for longer than 2 hours.

The 7th time Boba heard a voice say "Rip and tear, until it is done" Then the Doom music started.
There was still smoke coming from Jabba's sail barge so maybe in a week to maybe a month has gone by in the show

I read tales of the bounty hunters as a kid and I love it so much this vid was a nostalgia trip
I like the stories but I prefer how he escapes in canon because he made it look so much more easier and cooler. I think Boba struggles too much to escape in these comics. In Bobf he just got straight to work and casually burned the walls of flesh and climbed out. But I think the idea to explain his jetpack malfunction is cool and makes somewhat more sense in one of the comics, and its cool that he escaped the sarlacc the same way he got in, by reenacting the jetpack malfunction.
i really hope they give us something along the lines of the story of Boba and Han on the rooftops of Coruscant with their pistols at each other, not sure if either was out of ammo.... and left you on a cliff hanger.... can't recall which legends book that was... but i would LOVE to see some iteration of that....
Boba was hired to capture Han for Jabba. It's just a job. He isn't Han Solo's arch nemesis.

Ironic plot twist:
Boba Fett NEVER escaped the Sarlacc Pit.
The Sarlacc simply showed Boba what he wanted to see ..to make him compliant, while digesting him!
You have to love how the re-edit gives the sarlack a beak, but in it's gut you still see daylight in these shots. Reminds me more of the pitcher plant trap it was originally compared to the trapdoor spider tap it became later.
The 8th way will be him just showing up and someone commenting “somehow Boba Fett returned”.
The series was kinda slow in the first episode but I hope the pace gets faster

Fun fact the storm trooper in the sarlacs stomach is a reference to Star Wars battlefront 1 the original. There’s a map in which the rebels and empire fight it out and the sarlac pit happens to be there.
It would be very funny if Boba treated going into the sarlacc as a normal monday, he falls in and says “aw man, back here again” then proceeds to escape

sarlaac is by far one of the most interesting beasts in all of the SWU.. i wish we could have seen some up close look at the sail barge wreckage with jabba's dead carcass and bits n pieces of all the other aliens n droids who were on board when it blew 💥💥💥

It would be so poetic of at the end of his life Boba returns to the pit, communicates with it and just let's it take him. Only to find that the Sarlac has become fond of him and just chooses not to digest him, allowing Boba to be one with the hivemind and letting his body decay naturally in the Sarlac's gut
