Tbh there's only so much the UFC can do to market you. They tried with DJ, but him and stipe weren't intrested in all the media or leaning into trash talk/drama. Unfortunately the casual audience just won't pay attention to low key and humble champs, unless you have a super exciting fighting style like Holloway.
I mean they gave him a home town fight for his first title defense and they loved him but overall he never sold well with the casuals, thats not on the UFC, they can only do so much.
@@eetfuk3571 well, in the first ngannou fight francis was trying to take his head off without setting things up so and an elite champion like stipe could easily avoid that. In the second fight francis was more careful and not careless and overconfident like the last time

It's impressive, excited for the Ciryl Gane fight...idk why it's taken 10 months to get him back in the Octagon, afraid of the ring rust too, but i'm mostly with Ngannou.

I remember Alistair in his pride days, Overeem has been at it again...mendes a very long time and I think.just too many fights and had gotten older..missed his calling a few years earlier...definitely madecan impact in the UFC....great fighter for years...hated to see it happen but what not a better person as a champion then Stipe Miocic....the greatest Hw of this era...we'll see if Ngannou can equal or beat Stipes record or anyone else for that matter.

His head movement is inconsistent. Look on his head movement on Ngannou 1 and 2.
