I think there are just different sides of the spectrum. On one hand you do some forms of socialism and leftward leaning politics that have cause a lot of what you said. But you shouldn't just close yourself off to that. Like Jukes Jukes said Northern Europe is in essence what Bernie Sanders stands for, and those countries rank at the top of the world in terms of successful economies and happiness. So, before you rain your hate down on Bernie do some research, there is some really cool stuff out there.

did you not listen to the video? in response to the question of whether it should be changed he said "i think it's something that we should think about", and the "I believe candidates should be campaigning in 50 states" comment was in direct reference to the fact that that's NOT how it currently works under the electoral college system. He even pointed out that in this election he only campaigned for Hillary in 15 states. Because of the electoral college, candidates focus their efforts on swing states or states with a lot of electoral votes like California and Texas, with many of the smaller states being all but ignored. Bernie was basically saying that this isn't how it should be, every citizen's vote should be valued equally but under the current system with the electoral college they're not.

He said "15 states" because those are the only ones candidates are ever bothering themselves with. Dems are campaigning only in large cities even in the "blue states". That's how they lost Wisconsin, that's how they lost Michigan, that's how they lost Pennsylvania. Yes, not all counties/cities/towns are as populous as Detroit/Milwaukee/Philadelphia, but the situation is very embarrassing if most of the "blue states" are blue only in urban centers and no democrat gives a fuck about people outside of cities. Illinois, New York, Washington, Minnesota, Oregon - those states are pretty much all red, except for the major cities.

The point was HE manipulated the media, not that the media manipulated the people. I think what Bernie was getting at is Trump baited the media, and all that coverage made him more popular.
All that favored Trump. Just gave him more publicity. And the media knew this. The DNC wanted Hillary to win so they had the media push the Republican candidate who would be the easiest for Hillary to beat: Donald Trump.
Obviously this backfired, but as far as the DNC knew (via polls) their plan would have worked. They just didn't calculate Trump's power to excite people and have them go out and vote.
Think bigger. As the saying goes, any coverage is good coverage. Trump purposely said outrageous things to get media attention, the media in turn saw that his outrageous words and actions would get them ratings, so they were all for it. Notice that all starts with Trump's purposeful intention. Either they were 'bashing' your poor candidate or praising him, as long as he was on tv, his name was getting etched into the forefront of our minds, and his job was done.
Trump received BILLIONS in free media exposure. The MSM would cover Trump's empty podium while Sanders would be speaking in front of record crowds.

People are under the misconception that it's free Harvard and Yale. It's not. It's free community college and some four year colleges that are already being funded by the government.

But there was an agreement put to paper that they would have a more polite campaign. which is why they were not slinging mud as much as they could have. First, we don't know now and we may never know ever, if she actually did because they aren't done counting, and some votes like amsentee ballots they may never count if they won't sway the final outcome of an election or ballot measures. Second, both candidates campaiged for electoral votes not the popular vote. If you changed the rules then both candidates would have changed the way they campaign so there's no guarantee Hillary would have won if that were the case. The tragic part is that everyone else knows the answer. It's because the Democratic party did shady crap, and Bernie ended up supporting Hillary Clinton. The irony, from what I understand, is that his intention was to keep democrats united, when all it really did was divide them, especially so after yet another Hillary-related e-mail scandal.
Frankly, I hate how this election turned out. A competition between a compulsive liar and a compulsive braggart? I would like to think that most people didn't want that, but a good number of people still flocked to one side or the other because they feared having the other candidate in office, and I certainly don't blame them. Trump and Clinton are equally hated on the opposite side, and for a lot of people, it was a choice between a poison that only killed one kidney, or a poison that killed every other organ.
As for the whole Sanders thing, well, he ended up a puppet to the democratic party, and it shows that he's not willing to say anything on public television regarding why the democrats really lost. Most people on the liberal side underestimated Trump, Bernie and Hillary especially, even though he absolutely dominated in the primaries. Sure, competition might have been closer had Sanders won the Democratic candidacy, but it may also not have mattered either way, as many people also view him as too socialist. And when you get a woman who is in question regarding corruption as your party's candidate, people are naturally going to be deterred, especially when more evidence of that corruption surfaces at the time.
Anyway, tldr, whatever. People just need to move on and accept what happened. In the least, if Trump does end up screwing things up before his term is up, then we can always impeach. And who knows? Maybe he'll surprise us and actually fix some of this country's problems. At least he'll put efforts toward our sour relations with Russia. Can't say much beyond that though, until he's been in office for a while. I'll try to remain optimistic for the time being.
