Was goiing to do this with my sr, did you need to use the factory sandwich plate, or is that not required with this type of kit?

For this setup you do but I switched to the an fitting plate that replaces the factory plate, tomei style block adapter

Not worried about oil not coming up to operating temp without the use of a oil cooler t-stat?

Definitely a thought I had, gonna monitor temps and add one if needed after this test day, I can always just bypass the cooler portion if needed as well

I think in most cases you can use a regular s14 oil filter.

I think they share the same thread pattern, the kit came with the threaded adapter but for some reason it wouldn’t thread into the relocation plate itself so I just got a filter for the m20 adapter since that one threaded into the relocation plate. Weird but we made it work
