I did this a few weeks ago. I was always too scared to cut my own hair but hate going to the salon. My hair was past my bum and the ends were dead. So I found a tutorial and chopped off 10 inches. It felt great and my hair looks awesome. I think it looks great!
OK, the mat should be the length of both the doors combined, not the entire opening. Then you should leave room for two topiary plants on either side of the door. It's going to be beautiful!! Home Depot, or places like that will start selling those plants close to Easter. (In our area anyway). Love the hair, I did the same thing and got so many compliments. Your hair will hold curl the more you shorten it.
Yes! your right! The front door will look great with those ideas and I have long hair also and the more I shorten it which isn't very often, it holds a great curl 👍👍

Although she's a beautiful woman, a mom and a wife, has a youtube channel, and she is funny but other women and men, do about the same things, raising a family or not and still can get a lot done around the home, cook and shop. You have to be the light in your own life, not rely on people to inspire you or others. She is helpful and shows what she's going to cook or do for her family, but so do other moms. Even women with no kids can be there for others and inspire people in a positive way. It's like you're putting her on a pedestal as if she's the only human on Earth. I do appreciate who she is, but I don't rely on anyone here on earth to lead the way to make me want to be like her or to do better. We can all do that on our own.

I just wanted to say that the length of that shortest layer in the front would look really great on you in my opinion (and the hair wouldn't be so weighed down too). I had to cut my daughter’s hair during the quarantine phase of the pandemic and I was panicking and freaking out, your reaction while cutting yours reminded me of that! It turned out great though, you did a good job! The same thing happened with my daughter’s hair though...I used a similar method and it put beautiful layers in her hair but didn’t really take off length! That’s the bummer with the at-home methods.

I've done the same cut to my hair that is shoulder length. You did great cutting the layers! I think k the easiest way to style layers is to use a paddle brush and a blow dryer, feathering g it backwards!! LOVE IT!!!

So my mum is a hair stylist and I grew up basically in our family salon, I was a nail tech. Anyway, short story long, you did a very good job, it looks amazing. To make your life a little easier since you have such long hair you can add more hair ties. also when you split it in half and brought it forwards and said you just want to cut 3 inches off the bottom, you can do just that without repeating the layering, that's how they taught us to cut the ends off after layering in beauty school. GO Kim it looks beautiful.

Here’s how to get the look you want: ask for a Wolf Cut with long layers. I used to call it a Shag, but now, it’s a Wolf Cut. We have similar hair. Also, ask them to thin out your hair with thinning shears. Our hair is heavy, so you gotta lose some weight to get the volume & movement. ALSO - You gotta blow dry your hair with a round brush to have it look EXACTLY like the photo. 👍🏻 and a tip: Try a soft balayage - the bleach will add some texture and your hair will style better. It’s what I’m currently doing and it’s much better.
Kim, I noticed you had the same issue with your tiles as we did in our last home! The next step after steaming that would help is the whitening laundry powder product. I made a paste out of it by adding some water. Then, took a old toothbrush and rubbed the paste into the stained grout line in the high traffic part of the tile. Let it sit for a while. Then, wipe it up. I tried every option possible to make the kitchen floor look it's best and what I just shared is what worked. We had white grout and white tiles! It was not forgiving at all!

My late husband introduced me to his family’s method of taking a slice of bread, buttering it, and then putting the corn on it and wrapping the bread around the corn, thereby buttering it. But then you have to figure out what to do with the bread. 🤣

Your hair isn't parted in the middle thats why one side looks fuller and more layers then the other side.

We have 3 bios and one foster baby.. and he doesn’t sleep real well, so I love the fact that I know your upload schedule and on days that he wakes up early I know there’s a video coming. You are part of my routine now lol.. on mondays I’m like ok I’m gonna knock all this out so tomorrow I can sit and watch my show aka Kim lol .. man I sound like a sad human.. but being a stay at home momma, and having some special need kiddos in my care, lots of hospital stays, it just makes my day to watch you. I worked in grocery for 20 years and men would asked me to write down what my scent was. I always said just don’t tell your lady that you want them to smell like the “Lady at the grocery store” LOL 😂

I was watching you do the butter and the corn thing and I thought wow, that’s a good idea. My late husband introduced me to his family’s method of taking a slice of bread, buttering it, and then putting the corn on it and wrapping the bread around the corn, thereby buttering it. But then you have to figure out what to do with the bread. 🤣

I’ve been cutting my daughter’s hair and mine for years. I use the Crea Clip and it’s fantastic! I found it on Amazon years ago. I used to cut my sons hair but now he’s a “adult” (he’s 17, lol) and wants it done by a “professional”, he pays for it himself though.
