      They're all good cars in their own right and none is really the best in every area, but the Honda I think (provided you don't care too much about active safety features or "fun to drive" aspects) is the best overall car that you can use as your only car

      @The_Noticer. 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      A jazz with a K24 put in the front will understeer into every corner because of the weight imbalance. I would say take the previous generation Jazz with the 1.5, and turbocharge that if you desperately want a novelty Jazz that goes fast. Or buy a Civic FN2, which is basically a K-powered Honda Jazz (same shitty suspension setup, strut front/torsion rear).

    • @KiwiCarLife
      @KiwiCarLife  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@The_Noticer. I drove one and it handles like a go kart. All Hondas have more weight at the front and the k24 only weighs about 30kg more than the 1.5. Turbo the 1.5 and you'll be basically at the same weight but having spent way more

    • @abaj006
      @abaj006 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@The_Noticer. I prefer a naturally aspirated engine with both intake and exhaust valve lift. I honestly don't care much for going fast. I used to have an FN2 and it sounded like it had 400HP, and put a smile on my face every time I drove it. A V6 Camry could easily go faster, but if you go down that route, there is always something that is faster, but there aren't many cars that put a smile on your face.

    • @The_Noticer.
      @The_Noticer. 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@abaj006 Oh I agree, but swapping isn't cheap, and if you then create an unbalanced car for novelty sake, I would just opt to buy the car that already has that engine. Like a CL9 or CM2. Which in turn have much better suspension geometry (Double wishbone) for further tuning potential. Whereas a Jazz has strut front, torsion rear. It might be a "go-kart", but anyone driving those around knows why their surfaces need to be perfectly level, because any bump and it skids off to the side. Making a car stiff isn't really nice if you're planning to take them out on b-roads, it's downright dangerous. And you would have to make the Jazz stiff not only because of the added weight on the front struts, but also because it has a lot of camber gain when you load them up.

    Im in the UK . I had my Honda in for its annual service and had the new Jazz for the day while my car was in for a service . Ok its a Jazz but its fun to drive and its practical and reliable . However ive got a ten year old mark two Jazz and here’s the rub with 72k on the clock its good for another 70k .
    PCP deals mean sooner or later there will be some coming back to dealers with 5-10k on the clock at about 1-2 years old . Thats the time to pick one up at a decent price .

    I am quite bummed out that the latest Jazz is only offered as a hybrid in the UK - it robs a little bit of boot-space thanks to the batteries making a rising hump in the boot floor, and I do worry about the complexity of the hybrid system affecting its long-term durability, but those niggles aside it seems like a gargantuan step up in quality and comfort from the previous gen model; I'd have one in a heartbeat if money was no object.

      @@KiwiCarLife That is like stop producing an effective cheap medicine for one that has 100x the value for more profits and then saying to people "Well don't get sick so you won't need therapy".
      Normal yellow lights are very cheap and easy to replace, they do the job just fine, they are less piercing and hurtful to the eyes and they cost a fraction of a fraction of LED.
      Of course LED lights don't costs that much ether and nether there is any reason for them to be that hard to replace. They just made them like that by using the excuse of "new tech" for profits.
      And don't let me get started on keys. The damn thing broke and the car manufacturer wanted me to pay the price of an expensive smartphone to replace it. Sorry but your key just has a little easy to make chip in it. Not a powerful APU, cameras, speakers and an OLED screen.
      After that it somehow got unsynchronized and had to pay again to get it synchronized other than of course leaving me without a way to go to work for the day. My old car never troubled me like that. Just took the key to a locksmith made a few copies. SAFE. Easy and cheap.
      Technology is suppose to make things easier and they just make everything worse trying to get money out of us. All those info systems. Stupid!! They never get prober updates and are just a bunch of extra electronics to go wrong that you have to pay to fix along with making the car more expensive. Not to mention the silliness of looking threw menus to just do simple things i used to do with the push of a button before without getting my attention away from the road.
      We all have smartphones with relatively big screens. What do we need all that bull for? All the cars should have in an empty adjustable place to connect our smartphone with the car and BAM. There you have it! GPS and music etc ready. For other things? Buttons worked just fine without making drivers more prone to accidents by looking threw menus while driving.

      @@SIPEROTH ok mate... LED lights don't need replacing, and in many cases the bulbs cost less than halogens. People wouldn't use them if they were worse.
      Halogens are dim, wear out quickly, are energy inefficient and require big ugly bulb housings.
      No one thinks about how much a jolly LED bulbs costs when they buy a car for Pete's sake

      @@KiwiCarLife They don't because they don't think ahead or imagine it. They only realize what mess they are in when something goes wrong.
      And although LEd lights should normally last longer than the car itself they are prone to liquid damage with water getting in them or hurting their electronics etc.
      My friend had them damaged like that. He went to change them but discovered that they are like one with the whole thing so he couldn't change just the leds inside the headlight structure and had to change the whole headlight.
      Talk about getting screwed.
      It doesn't matter if normal lamps wear out quickly(not really that quickly considering how many drive their old cars without changing them for many many years) because they are stupid cheap and replaceable.
      And who cares about energy efficient? They run from the car battery. Is not like they raise your power bill.
      Also you ignore how car light Leds are eye piercing and blind you every time a car comes the opposite direction. They literally make your eyes hurt.
      I am not against LEDS in general though. I am against their way of being implemented.
      There is no reason why they can't be cheap and easy to replace while making them less piercing. Is easy to do. Car makers just don't want to.

    My uncle knows cats better than any of you. He races and wins vintage targa, he reckons that Mazda 2 is just a "Pregnant Egg"... 🤣🤣🤣🤣.
    I'd rather have a normal egg thanks!
    Such a shame Honda stopped selling the jazz in Australia. Such a shame they no longer sell a true wagon. Such a shame on the Australian distributors.
