Amazing video. I'm always on the look for a good mezcal drink. Back in the day I didn't care for mezcal (keep in mind I'm Mexican and have lived here for 3 decades), but that was when all you had access to was some sort of rubbing alcohol with a dead worm inside, the cheap stuff your drunk uncle brought you from his trip to Oaxaca, alongside crickets, cheese and mole. Fancy people drank tequila reposado, brandy or whisky. Then, suddenly, at the tail end of the 2000's, there was a boom and now you can find all sorts of high quality mezcales. I do a mezcal riff on the Rusty Nail. I have a sweet tooth, but sometimes, depending on my mood, I find it cloyingly sweet. Enter the bitters and the mezcal (was thinking something smokey, not quite an Islay scotch, but you get the idea). 1.5 oz whisky .5 oz mezcal (it could also be a barspoon since some mezcales can be quite powerful) 1 oz Drambuie Dash of Angostura Grapefruit zest. I don't know how to call it. I've seen some "Oaxacan nails" out there, but they tend to use all mezcal instead of whisky, which is not what I was going for.
I’ve always known the Closing Argument as Last of the Oaxacans. One of my favorite cocktails. Using Del Magueys Chichicapa instead of Vida definitely makes for a more complex cocktail. Delicious either way though
Mezcal is so amazing to play with! Just made the Tia Mia, delicious! Thanks for the recipe. At the moment I have three orange liqueur: dry Curaçao, creole shrubb and cointreau... How to choose which one is best for you or the cocktail? Would it be possible to have only one for the simple home bar?

Very impressive original cocktail!
It’s been covered on a lot of other channels, but The Division Bell is incredible.
I much prefer it’s newer version the Naked and Famous.

Is Punt E Mes a could supplement for Cardamaro?
Punt e Mes is more bitter and chocolatey, so it would probably still work well with the other ingredients, but it's rather different than Cardamaro.
@@eafarrarokay thanks
It's a Tia Mia for us tomorrow.

This list needs something... I want to see one with muddled lime, prickly pear, and rimmed with pica limon (salt and lemon mixed with chili powder).
