    Awesome! As an Ango fiend myself, this has always been one of my favorite cocktails!

      You should try the fat washed Ango then. I'm sure you will LOVE it! Cheers!

    I love the Trinidad Sour and must try the fat washed version!
    Brown butter is an absolute cheat code in the kitchen!
    I was waiting for it to be used for a cocktail.

      For me brown butter washed cocktails are a must. I just love it. I hope you will too. Cheers!

    I’ve been meaning to clarify a trinidad sour for ages! I thought the flavours are so strong that a lot of them would survive the clarification process while still being smooth and more like a classic sour. So glad to see you beat me to it. I was going to call mine Clear Skies Over Trinidad

      It's really worth trying my friend! I loved it. The coconut milk washed was also a success. Keep us posted with your experiments.

    I learned the Trinidad Sour as an equal parts cocktail from a barkeeper, so 1:1:1:1 and it is still my favorite. Give it a try. I for sure will try the milk washed version soon! :) Nice video!

      Makes sense when you think of a last word format (base, citrus, sweetener, herbal/bitter)

      I agree that sounds good. Moree whisky and a bit more tartness... I'm down to try ;) Cheers!

Grazie in anticipo! Sei un grande professionista

    Have you tried Jack Daniel’s Bonded Rye Whiskey? I’ve been thinking of getting it for a while.

    For clarification I recommend almond milk there is almond in it anyway

    Switching the rye with pisco makes it also less christmasy

    Do you think it's possible to replace the ango bitter with Amaro di Angostura? It has basically same flavor, but lower proof and significantly bigger volume - which i like tbh :)

    • @TrufflesOnTheRocks

      I think you could do it but you would have to change the recipe to achieve the right balance because not only it has a lower ABV but it is also sweetened.

    Nice work! Have you ever tried with a homemade bitter?

    • @TrufflesOnTheRocks

      Not with homemade bitters but I did try with other brands and IMO, none were even close to be a success.

    Can I sub Amaretto for orgeat? Great video as always.

    • @TrufflesOnTheRocks

      I don't recommend it. Real orgeat doesn't taste like almond extract like Amaretto does.

  • @Dkaneinsane

    I put 1.5 oz of bitters that's the original way I believe

    • @TrufflesOnTheRocks

      Like I said it the video, the creator of the cocktail leaves this up to us to decide the ratio but you it is often made using 1.5 oz.

    Really hate not having the recipes in the description… it is a deterrent from my actually making this one night. Which in turn makes me a lot less interested in watching the video.

      @@TrufflesOnTheRocksThanks! That is great news. And I don't blame you for trying out new ways to monetize. Sorry if my frustration came through in the tone of the comment.
      Recipe in the description just helps lower the barrier to entry. Always happy to buy a book with all the recipes in one place later for quick long term reference. But for videos, it's more in the moment I want to make this and pausing and unpausing the video as I pour ingredients is itself a recipe...for disaster 😂
