I feel so far behind the curve here. Looking out to sea and wondering why there are so few Dorset based channels and then PING up you come! Thanks for the content man - ticking many of the boxes. It's inspiring to see what's around Purbeck. Up there next week, so I'll be sure to pack a rod & some lures! Nice one! Jack
@@coasttocountry Cheers Buddy - I actually live out in far west Dorset so don't visit Purbeck more than a couple of times a year. Looking forward to flicking a line out next week for sure! Cheers Dude
Glad this channel popped up in the recommended. Chesil aside, haven't fished the Dorset coast particularly so will be interesting to see what it offers. Great video, will be binging the rest on rig making sessions.
Cheers mate, hopefully I can make rig tying a little less boring :) admittedly, I do fish fairly remote lesser known marks but I will no doubt fish some more known and accessible spots from time to time. Tight line matie
Great 3 day session. Some lovely fish. Definitely a bit envious, although don't think my oldish bones could manage the beach for even one night. Nice one. 👍
Huge well done Dave, that is an epic fishing session and a wonderful video to match. So glad keith joined you. Lol had to laugh , talking before coffee , now I know what I sound like. 😂😂 Tight lines fot the next adventure mate
Lots of anglers keep there location secret which is understandable but most of the time I can guess where they are but it's the parking that is the hardest part to find out . If you go to recognized spots give us a tip on the parking as it's frustrating to drive 70miles and find it's pay over the phone stuff when you don't have that ability.great session by the way👍
Just found you after watching a few fishing videos! Love your content and live in Dorset! Have subscribed and will now watch all your vids till I’m up to date 👌🏼
Great interesting video Dave - enjoyed that one! Nice mix of Species - 2 lovely Bass, a nice Coddie, and a huge mackerel that would have looked great in a frying pan! Maybe not a compliment, but I do like your videos as they are usually not too long. Not had so much time for youtube this year, but can always find 10mins to watch one of yours, whereas the longer ones from other channels I sub to sometimes get overlooked due to time constraints. Keep 'em coming, stay safe & well! 🎣🎣👍👍
Cheers mate, I do try and keep them short, as I get bored editing them when I waffle on 🤣 I figure that if it bores me, it will probably bore everyone else. Hopefully they improve as I go. Chat soon no doubt 👍all the best
@@coasttocountryhi bud sent you a Instagram message, not sure if you have a email address, just wanted some advice, planning a trip to Dorset this week. Thanks j
I use Kompressor Super Sports for most of my fishing but I also have a pair of Zziplex Hiflex M4 GT's that I use for smaller species. Reel wise, I have 4 Penn Fathoms for long casting, Sloshes that I use for short range and rough ground and a couple of fixed spools with braid for wrasse and bream on the rocks 😊
Wow, what a session mate, some very nice fish there…I’m just jealous of you getting to camp out & fish for so long😊well done, with content like this I’m sure your subs will rocket in no time…all I will say, is if I was starving, had a fire going & was catching like that, I wouldn’t be starving for long!…Looking forward to your next one👍🙂
Haha thankyou mate. Yes I am very fortunate to have flexible hours at work so I can often squeeze my hours in to 4 days. I've just realised you have a channel too, so apologies for that. I look forward to watching your content. I watched one of your videos yesterday and I was hooked from the start, very engaing, nice one :)
You can expect this fishing on pretty much any beach between Chesil and Poole entrance. I've spent 20 years sussing this particular mark, which is how I know where to go and in what conditions. Do you have an email address and I will be happy to offer some advice via email 😁
nice videos i just subscribed is it possible to know what rigs were used? could I also know of a rig to avoid crabs cuz here in Sussex we are being absolutely plagued by em, every cast I lost my bait withing 2 mins it was tragic, any tips will be much appreciated
Thankyou for subscribing. I was using up and over rigs at range for rays, 4/0 Cox & Rawle uptide extras and 50lb fluro hook length. You can get away with a thinner gauge hook for rays but I wanted something abit extra just incase I hooked into a big eel. Close in, I was using running ledgers with a 200lb mono hook length just incase I hooked a big eel. Hooks were 8/0 Sakuma Manta Extra hooks. Crabs are a pain... At one point I was baiting up every 15mins. Other than using larger baits, there's not a lot else you can do. If you check out the tide times in your area, you could concentrate more on times when they're less active, say, after a storm on big tides. Hope you manage to find some fish amongst the crabs :/
