      Thanks! Yeah was a long day of nothing happening but it definitely paid off waiting it out! Plus when the weather is like it has been, theres no better place to be!

    Nice watch lads , when ive fished chesil with feathers for the mackies it needs a really long chuck , looks like these were really close in .

      Thanks! Yeah on the odd occasion the mackerel chase the white bait right up to the shingle bank! It's great fun catching them on the light tackle, you feel the fight a lot more! Worth taking a spinning rod if your heading down Chesil for sure!

      Oh also, savage gear seeker, and a jigpara lure fly out mate. Massive distance, worth picking a couple up! Great fun on the light tackle!

    Never had the gumption to walk to dragons teeth . Had a good bit of luck at pensioners point with the Bass thou . Subbed and liked mate 👍🏼

      Heya! Yeah it is a gruelling walk, however it seemed worth it! meant to be great in the cod season! Never been to pensioners point... wheres that?

      @@rikosheafishing Yeah I hope to get back to the mighty Chesil for Cod season this year too mate . Lol pensioners point is literally at the top of abbotsburys as you come off the wooden walkway!
      I done pretty well at check point last year in December , it’s just up from the bird sanctuary on the way to Portland.

      @@rikosheafishing Yeah it’s a trek for me tbh mate , live in Bedford so it’s a plus three hour drive . So I go for a three day trip minimum.

    It’s not as good as it use to be there! Had some nice cod there many years ago! But not the last few years. I have had some good plaice there too 👍

      Yeah I heard it is not as good as the old days! However got to be in it to win it :) Would love a nice plaice, such a lovely eating fish! Tight lines.

      Yeah we did, we found walking along the car park side of the shingle bank was a lot easier on our return journey. Will be keeping that side of the bank in future both ways.

    Obviously don't know but as soon as you touch a mackerel it's going to die. There skin has a mucus on it which when broken the fish will gradually fill with water and die a gradually death. If you want to put back hold the hook and shake them off. Just a bit of info guys 😊

    Dragons teeth is good for cod at the right time of the year. Some good bass caught there too.

      I heard some good cod are caught there in the autumn! will definitely be after them then!

      the ground is no different there it's just there is less of you fishing that end and you get a clean run if fish
