The Old Hag used to give me NIGHTMARES when I was a child (I had a recurrent one where my mother turned into her). Many years later I'm over it, but hearing that Arabic version gave me chills, omg. I never really payed attention to this character(s)'s voices but there's so many impressive ones out there!!
I love seeing rankings of both: Hag and Mother Gothel. And as far as Hag is concerned, old dubs just have this unique vibe determined by audio quality etc, new dubs rarely achieve the same effect of authentic fright. Thanks for the 6th place! ❤
Thank you so much for 6th place in the Hag ranking, I really love Wanda. Your childhood voices are great and I totally agree with Malak beeing the best Witch.
My God, I was so happy that the Portuguese BR version of the evil queen came first, I imagined that the Portuguese BR version wouldn't even be among any of those🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
I love when people rank speaking voices as well, and the transition from the Evil Queen's rank to the Hag's was awesome, good job! All of your choices sounded extremely good to me. Thanks a lot for your comment on Wanda, her laughs where the reason I interrupted my viewings of "Snow White" multiple times as a kid, lol. I still think Lucille La Verne is the best Hag, though, simply iconic. I don't know if it's true, but I heard an anecdote she actually pulled off her Hag voice by removing her false teeth! Don't know if it's just a story from Disney, but that would be true devotion to her work XD
Thank you very much❤ I also really like when someone makes rankings of speaking voices, I find it really interesting! However, it was actually more difficult for me than ranking singing voices, but I was very satisfied with the result :) Hahaha, your story with Wanda is similar to my story with Lourdes, I was scared to death of her Evil Queen, I only had the courage to watch this film again when I was 12 years old XD Lucille is WONDERFUL, I love both her queen and her witch
Excellent ranking as always! I'm only missing my beloved 1938 Italian voices, they both belong in a horror movie IMO 😂 I love all your picks for the Queen, they all embody the character perfectly. Among them, Jirina, Claude, Hjördis and Margit are the perfect deptiction of a woman intoxicated by her jealousy! As for the Hag, Estelita did a fantastic job, she really is unhinged! I also love the added creepiness added by the low quality of the old dubs, especially Polish
Thank you very much❤ I love the Italian 1938 voices of the Queen and the Witch, and you're right, they sound like they're in a horror movie, just like the Polish 1938 version XD Tina Lattanzi is in 13th place for me as the Evil Queen, and Dina Romano is in 11th place for me as the Hag^^ I'm glad you liked my choices for the queen, I love all these ladies
I love, just love how someone creates a personal ranking of spoken voices! And on top of that, such a great character as the Evil Queen/The Hag. I have to thank you in advance for including the Polish voices from 1938, OMG I already thought Seweryna seemed not scary enough, I didn't think you would give her so high. I love Leokadia and Seweryna in the Polish 1938, they both did a great job creating a dark and scary character. Interesting fact: Two years before the dubbing, both actresses played practically the same roles in the Polish film ,,Barbara Radziwillowna" (Leokadia as Queen Bona, and Seweryna as the Hag). Thanks again for making such a beautiful ranking (I love your transitions between characters), and for including the old Polish dubbing! As for the new dub... well... I think that Danuta Stenka was chosen due to the fact that she was already known for her dubbing for The Chronicles of Narnia, and it was stated that she necessarily has to play some villain in Disney, who would expect that in a year there will be a film in which Danuta's voice will turn out to be one of the best chosen in the world (Yes I'm talking about Tangled and Mother Gothel). Which doesn't change the fact that I liked her as The Hag, but as the Evil Queen she was not very scary and too "gentle".
@@disneiya Leokadia is scary, Seweryna maybe it's just my opinion that she doesn't sound very scary, maybe it's because of habit, but I understand why you can be afraid of her xD Personally, I consider Leokadia to be one of the best, if not the best, Polish villain voices and she is my favorite Evil Queen (I also really like the voices from your podium)
Thank you for the second place! I completely agree with you, the first dub is a masterpiece, I'm also a sucker for the old time theathetrical acting, also her range was perfect for this role
Every scariest foreign language of The Evil Queen/Old Hag voices are amazingly awesome and frightening, no matter how they're very talented they really be.
Very interesting ranking!! We agree here and there!! Both your first places are great!! Thank you very much for the 8th place of the hag, Eleni is great as the hag, I love her acting a lot!! What do you think of the Greek Εvil Queen?
Antiyóni Ylikofrídi is very scary and intimidating as the Evil Queen, she is in my 11th place^^ Eléni is incredible as the Hag, in fact, the Greek cast of Snow White is wonderful
