Actually, the train you are taking is not the MRT but the KRL, a train that connects Jakarta with buffer cities. The MRT station is underground in the Plaza Indonesia area, while the LRT train station is above. Also visit Sarinah which is the first mall in Indonesia
Yeah, it's true. The train was not MRT, its Commuter Line, hihihi.
From the technical perspective of railway, KRL and MRT are the same, they are specified as the heavy rail commuter electric train that has higher passenger capacity than the LRT/Light rail transit. And the fun fact is the KRL in Jakarta are bought second-hand used from Japan, and operated as MRT in Japan before sold to KAI here.
The train you took from Jakarta Kota Station is NOT the MRT but the Commuter Train or KRL.
Metrosystem in Jakarta consists of MRT, LRT, BRT TransJakarta and KRL Commuter Line. You can use the card you buy at the station to take other modes, but you can only top it up at the train station.
The most flexible card that can be refilled anywhere and can be used to pay for all modes of transportation is the e-Money Card which you can buy at Indomaret or Alfamaret outlets. You can even use this card to pay for shopping transactions at Indomaret/Alfamaret, pay tolls and parking.

In my opinion, the interior of the Pacific Place mall in SCBD is cooler than Plaza Indonesia. Apart from famous brands like those in Plaza Indonesia, inside there is also a Lamborghini showroom garage, and of course it also looks luxurious. and the food court is beautifully arranged.

In fact, Indonesia is a country with a majority Muslim population ,so that's why the dogs don't roam around ,but you can see dogs in House where there are non-Muslims ,and that's a pet dog ,Dogs are very rare to find in Indonesia, but if you go to Bali or eastern part of Indonesia I think there are lots of dogs there

You can't call Jakarta foods as Javanese foods, because in Java there are many ethnicities who not only speak different languages but also their foods have very different tastes.
FYI, Soto Betawi has just been named by international ranking agencies as the most delicious soup in the world in 2024, ranked second... while first place is occupied by RAWON, a typical dish from Surabaya (East Java).
Previously, Beef RENDANG (West Sumatra food) in 2015 (if I'm not mistaken) was named the most delicious food in the world! 😂

The train you took at Stasiun Jakarta is Commuter Line. You can also use that commuter card for MRT, LRT, and Transjakarta that stoped at bus stop that using tapping gate
I recommend you that if you want to go to the center area or central Jakarta you can take a train to (bogor line) manggarai station and change the line (tanah abang) and then you get off at the sudirman station

You can buy it in indomaret bro for multiple trips krl,mrt,lrt or transjakarta bus....krl price only 3000k long trip,mrt price 7000k-raised depend on your lenght objection....bus only 3000k long trip too....
It's best to buy a multi-function card. Like e-money by Mandiri or Flazz from BCA, you can buy it at Indomaret or Alfamart. Can be used in various ways, shopping, parking, MRT, commuter trains, LRT, Trans Jakarta bus, ect. BTW that used not MRT but Commuter Train. MRT different kind.

You better go to PIK 2 (Beach Land’s Ends, La Riviera, Aloha Beach, Cove Batavia), Ancol Beach City, SCBD District, Thousand Islands tour while in Jakarta
KRL is better for long distance such as to the grand Jakarta like Depok, Bogor, Bekasi Tangerang or Banten (50km)....and the price s very cheap....for inside Jkarta just use MRT, LRT or BRT

As Sulawesi-an Wakatobi to be exact, I have better understanding malay compare to Javanese. Why because in my area we are experience many dialeg and similar language. So my brain trained to interpreted unknown word/phrases by analysis similarity sound. Like kata Kita in Southern Sulawesi ,(Sulselbar, Sultra) meaning Me (indicate politeness when speak to elderly, instead use aku) for northern Sulawesi Kita meaning kamu (also indicate politeness, instead of kamu).

Actually, unlike Malaysia, we don't speak Indonesian language for daily. I speak Javanese, for instance, and people surrounding Jakarta speak Sundanese. And you did visit Bali, and they speak Balinese. Indonesian language is most popular in Jakarta, or when communicating with someone who isn't from our region. Otherwise, we revert to our own languages. That "sangat cantik" for example, but you would be hard pressed to hear the word in locals. For example, if you go to Semarang or Yogya, they would say "ayu nemen", or in Javanese slang "Ayune puol". if you visit bandung, the word becomes "geulis pisan euy", and when you visit Medan, the word is "bagak hian", and in bali they say it as "jegek sajan puk". But because you are a foreigner, they would tell you as "cantik sekali" as in Indonesian language, so that everywhere you go in our country, you could understand
The Indonesian language was specifically created to unite all cultures and languages throughout Indonesia, because we need a common language if we are going to work as one nation. Therefore, it's a little different from Malay, because we incorporate words from local languages to enrich it.
