Our rescue Basset was very food and toy aggressive and my wife and I both suffered bites from him. We worked with a trainer and eighteen months later have most of his issues worked out. Nothing is known of his background, but I suspect he has never been a pet before.
TXMEDRGR I could take the chicken strip away from all four of my bassets and not even hear the hint of a growl. My son says that they know if I take it from them, they will get ten more to replace it.
we have a basset named clementine who is dog aggressive and bites children. she was labeled rage syndrome before we found out she had epilepsy, small focal seizures in her sleep so check for that. xo

I also had a beautiful young lady that was like this girl. She was most definitely set in her ways. She was such a loving and happy girl with me, once she got to know people she liked them as well. Miss her, she passed from cancer.

She looks like my Oreo ( frogged) did. I really miss her and my Peanut hound. They were sweet beautiful girls.

ill bet the person who got bit is either: 1)lying or 2)aggravated the dog to cause the bite.

I took a bone from my basset and she attacked and bit me. It was the only time and I have had many basset hounds in my life.
