I purchased a rear diffuser for my 14 ZL1 with less than 6k miles. I dislike the oem flat grey stock plastic diffuser and thought this would be a great addition. Shortly after I began the install I noticed the corners just would not stay clipped in and reached out to their “customer service” with absolutely no help. Their response was “We have installed 8 local of our clients Evo diffusers that purchased it with us and we have not ran into that issue, also all of out of state pre order 50 plus orders already installed them and never told us anything about our clips or fitment.” It’s not a terrible response, but I followed up with another email and zero feedback. I am very mechanically inclined and have rebuilt cars from the ground up as well as worked at GM dealership for years, this job should have been cake work. Shortly after I installed I noticed the center section has a seam from the mold I assume, however that seem has now turned into a crack traveling down the diffuser. I also noticed the other corner has completely popped out as well. Needless to say I wouldn’t purchase anything from this site strictly based on the poor or lack there of customer service. The least they could do is respond or acknowledge their faulty part….
My factory diffuser has metal shields around my exhaust tips, are there provisions to swap those over onto this one? If not, is there any chance of heat damaging the diffuser?
