1st, they knew the prophecy of Micah 4:8, that the restoration of Israel’s royal authority would come from Migdal Eder & from Micah 5:2, that it was not merely Bethlehem, but Bethlehem Ephratah, the town of David, the home of Boaz, where the Messiah would be born. Ephratah which means fruitful was the ancient name of Bethlehem. There was much history in this location, Jacob buried his beloved Rachel near the gate at Bethlehem, it also was the home of Ruth and the birthplace of King David. Bethlehem means House of bread, John 6:35 Jesus said I am the bread of life. 2nd the angel said that the baby would be in a manger, wrapped in swaddling cloth But a manger is not a crib. in fact, It was a feeding trough for sheep made of stone more than likely! Jesus was placed in a manger and like a newborn lamb, wrapped in swaddling clothes. This was the custom of the priests, to keep the lambs from hurting themselves. The shepherds knew exactly which manger to go to, despite the fact that there were certainly dozens, if not more, in the area. It was the one of which the prophet Micah spoke, the Tower of the Flock.
@@MilkToMeatProductions so to simplify the point, the home of boaz. The rest I see in your video and in scripture, I was referring to your claim that they knew the specific Manger to go to and you are saying house of boaz according to Micah 5:2? I don't see that part, where do you get host of boaz specifically?

Some time later, Elimelech dies, and their two sons marry Moabite women. About ten years later, both the sons also die. @@MilkToMeatProductions I know and understand the story of Ruth, with boaz the kinsman redeemer, a type of Christ, in the city of David, and so on. That wasn't the question I posed, how do you know the Shepherds knew to go to the home of boaz to a specific stone Manger? I asked that question because I have never noticed it overtly started in scripture. Is it or are you making a contextual leap from another source? Trying to learn as I had never seen this connection stated and wanted to know more since it was your statement.
The Lamb of God was born at the same season that the natural Lambs were born as the shepherds were in the fields watching over their flocks by night due to the mother ewes birthing their babies.
That is awesome information about the birth of Jesus ❤️❗️
Yes, it's very fascinating!
Wow, what great info!

Great teaching brother. I may have missed it, but how exactly did the shepherd’s know which manner in Bethlehem ephratah to go to?
