I’ve been looking for someone with a skutt similar looking to mine. I have a KS -818 but my controller looks just like
Yours I think it’s older. Mine has holes on the bottom so I was going to setup a vent at the bottom. Does that change how my peeps operate?

I checked with the rest of our guild and they said as long as you’ve got holes in the lid as well, closing all of the peeps and venting out the bottom will work.

How long is the average time of baking and average temperature?

Time really depends on your kiln and how it is loaded. A densely packed kiln will take longer and one with few pieces will take less. That said a glaze load will take maybe 8 hours and a bisque load maybe 12-14. Temperatures vary as well. Heat work is what is measured by the cones. Cones range from around 022-22 or so. Most home potters bisque at cone 06-04 and glaze in an electric kiln at 5-6. You can find charts that give the nominal temperatures online. Keep in mind that a cone will bend at different absolute temperatures depending on how much "heat" they have been exposed to. Soaking at a temperature will add "heat work" and could give you a higher "cone" than you expected. Please not that putting a 0 in front of the number as in 06 vs 6 make a HUGE difference in temperature. Don't mix them up.
