What soft are you using for the presentation?
I'm kind of doing the same. I have a retainer client and I'm also doing value based pricing. I'd like to get to the stock options as well. Will you share your presentation after the event? I'd really like to watch it.
What about being paid a percentage of profits or revenue?
Great vlog as always! For someone just starting out as a UX designer do you think it would be advantageous to have more retainers just to keep money coming in and then when you get more experience switch to more high risk - high reward work?
jeffery wicks If you are starting out, it's always better to be an employee and learn all things needed for someone else's money :)
But if you have to decide between value based vs retainer, them the second is better as you don't have enough experience to do the good estimates for the work (which wouldn't be ok for value based).

Hey Ran! Can you share your setup? I'm only using MBP now, thinking about getting an imac for more power (complicated sketch with lots of artboard is taxing my CPU).. what do you think?
Danke Alamien How old is your MBP? It would be a waste of money buying iMac as there was no update in product line like - I don't know - 5 years? Get newer model with enough memory (16 GB at least) and you'll be fine.
