Never seen a Yowie but I might have seen a Bunyip No s..t was fishing a high steep bank on the Golburn river near the bridge that crosses the Golburn near Seymour on the hume highway. Anyway I'm fishing and what seemed to look like a extremely big black labrador surfaced half jumping out off the water and diving back down just like a dolphin does. No s..t. I'm not the type to get spooked by anyone or anything but I thought I'm fishing alone here and the way that thing jumped up who knows it might be able to jump higher where I am grab me and drag me in, so I packed my stuff and took off. Lol. 100% truth. No bulls..t.
some reasons why I believe that government won't acknowledge that Yowies exist 1. national parks are a multi billion dollar industry , so you can't be telling people that there are boogeymen in the bush 2. if they acknowledge that Yowies exist do they give them land rights ? 3. then does the government have to have no go zones in the bush similar to what they do in South America for the lost tribes ? 4. it would knock known science on it's head and all scientific research would have to be rewritten 5. and also you hit the nail on the head with religion , we can't have that !
The 2 types you mention are Dooligah, tall ones, and Junjadee, shorter ones. And I've had experiences, a lot of people have but are too scared to speak up I guess.
Fruit bats feed on mangoes like that. Yowies tend to tear off the fruity flesh with their hands and leave the inner seed on the ground. Yowies up here in FNQ do the same thing to our trees.

hey man so what i think goes on with them is their eyes have evolved way further than ours and they can pick up infrared light, and thats why you never see them caught on a motion camera. have you ever looked at a infrared camera with another infrared camera? thats what i believe they can see
