Eu via isso num DVD do Moisés do meu amigo. Esse era o meu preferido dos desenhos. Eu achava o final meio assustador, por ver o pobre centauro ser estrangulado.
A funny coincidence. I agree, he really does look like Queen's famous singer. Mercury is, among other things, the God of communication. Freddy took that name because of its implications, he wasn't born with it.
@@amstrad79b Yes, and if he'd been called Hermes, it would have been fine. But in this cartoon, he was called Mercury, the Roman name. They may be effectively the same deity, but if this is supposed to be 'A Greek Life' then the centaur should have been calling him Hermes. How is this hard to understand?
@tsolias27 Yes, I understand this. I'm talking purely about the name. This cartoon is supposed to be set in ancient Greece. Therefore, they would use the name Hermes. The Roman god Mercury is the same god, but this cartoon is not set in Rome. If it was, Mercury would be the correct name. Why is this hard to understand? Maybe English isn't your first language, in which case you may not have understood my original point. Hopefully this explanation clears that up.
@dan goth Are you hard of thinking? If the Romans accepted the Greek gods, then your sentence should end, 'Hermes is a Roman God.' Not the other way round. Which is irrelevant, as this is set in Greece, so it should use the Greek name, not the Roman one. End of story.
I had some nightmares tonight its 5 am Nd i feel like shit...im a hellenic pagan and gods, Hermes has a sense of humor letting me find this shit. I was laughing the whole way
I think so, it's hard to tell with these. But my guess would be yes, at least age wise. It's not old enough to enter the public domain, so it would have to be a company action to put it there.
I highly doubt it. Van Beuren Studios went out of business back in the '30s and its library has never been claimed by another distributor. Everything the studio created should be free to use.
Centaurs, flying shoes and weird places remind me of a particular religion..... I am not saying that particular religion talks about centaurs and flying shoes it's just the general bull shit that it tries to sell.
Because these guys who voiced everyone in this cartoon, knew that Italy was a maritime neighbour of Greece, and probably refused to do a Spanish-like accent, due to not knowing that Greek sounds like Spanish.
Why have I not seen this one before. Love it the rubber hose action, ducks with olive branch Crowns 👑 😋
So Cool 😎
Loved this one a lot as a kid!!!
got to be honest people they don't make cartoon gems like this anymore,it's enjoyable fun at it's best 👍👍🤗
😍😘
greeks with italian accent !??
this is some hardcore sorcery right here
That’s what I said. Mostly the Greek with Italian accent part lol
I was thinking the same thing with the Italian accent. I noticed in a couple of other Van Beuren cartoons he has a thing for idol worship and “gods”.
😂
I especially love the ducks, with their olive branches.

LOL Mercury is Hermes or in greek Ερμής. One of the twelve Gods of Olympus. It seems you are a bit wrong my friend.

Can't you see he's Mr. Mercury. How strange.

What an acid trip!
Check out Pin Cushion Man now those artists and writers had to be dosing big time
If this is a "Greek life" why is everybody talking with a fake Italian accent?
Because these guys who voiced everyone in this cartoon, knew that Italy was a maritime neighbour of Greece, and probably refused to do a Spanish-like accent, due to not knowing that Greek sounds like Spanish.
It's SO much more amusing if you see it as a Shetland pony wearing a talking man for a head! WHAHAH
In the Greek pantheon Tahuti is Hermes not Mercury....and an Italian accent? Please send funding to educate our poor dumb animators lol
