Even though I was a 90 kid my mom's sisters had this on an old vhs of cartoons from the 50's and before. Even in 2023 this is one of my fav animations of all time.
90's kid here too! It was on a tape titled "6 Hour Cartoon Collection", and I watched that tape quite a few times, and so glad all of these classics are being restored to what they would've looked like on release!
I was born in 2005 and I'm pretty sure I watched this on a woody woodpecker CD lmao. I always wondered what this cartoon had to do with woody woodpecker, but I guess it was just a compilation😂 there was also the CobWeb Hotel and one that I can't remember the name, but was about a fly or mosquito trying to suck a horse's (the small one, not the mom. there was 2 horse's btw) blood
In the early 90's I would watch this quite often on a set of cartoons that my grandparents had recorded on VHS...it also included Hamateur Night and Greedy Humpty Dumpty. I'm so glad to have found these again.
@noemigirons2077 it's interesting how originally sausage party was going to give the main antagonist rat minions, and I'll just stop right there given something that would've happened between one of the rats and the villain which is rest in line the suggestive tone of the movie.
@@cheyennejohnson-m7i It’s honestly better because it plays around more with the premise of sentient food and it’s not reliant on “adult humor” as a crutch.
I remember watching this on a 600 cartoon collection dvd set, i even watched classics like The 3 Stooges cartoon, Hoppity Hooper, Fraidy Cat, & one my favorites was an american sitcom cartoon called Calvin & The Colonel. Those were simpler times.
I like how this seems like just another routine cartoon short - until the startling appearance of the faceless thing with the moose like metal antlers. Lurking around in the dark.. casting huge menacing shadows on the wall... It's something straight out of a horror comic. 1:31
Encontré este corto en un DVD recopilatorio, uno que mi papá compro en esos botaderos de películas que tenian algunos súper mercados, tenían un doblaje horrible hecho a las rápidas jajaja
What is the name of the song that's playing when the Police Potatoe rolls out of the bag? It's the same the police is humming in Lady and the Tramp. But I want to know what is the song?
No. It was a kid's cartoon and was meant to be funny. I swear, some people would read things into a phone book listing. (For those old enough to remember phone books) Yes, police could be brutal back in days gone by - much more so than today, even - but the cartoon was intended to be humorous.

Greedy Humpty, was great with the tower building.
The way the potatoes torture the innocent vegetables is actually scary though
@NonyaSongs 😂😂😂 Mean potatoes!
They do the same thing in the silly symphony Who Killed Cock Robin, absolutely vicious
