This song is sooo oddly satisfying for me, really epic/cinematic ! I waited for this debut since i got introduced to nct in 2018... I wish him success and I'm waiting for the full album next comeback.
as expected ten did not disapoint this was simply amazing and an artistic masterpiece the whole album is just amazing and already competing to be my favorite album this year
MY INTERPRETATION: I think this song about Ten surrendering to his alter ego (the monstrous performer and artist that he is) which is actually a source of great power. Being in group of 26 members he had to subdue his real shine to blend in ("I've been waiting so long, hiding my power"). I think his desire to grow in his field is so strong and although he tries to keep it down low cuz maybe the time is not yet right before, he actually has been biding his time to finally show his capabilities all along. It's also a fact that SM kept him in their dungeon for so long only to be sent to China and then after that WayV doesn't even get to get a momentum cuz of the Lucas scandal and then again Ten was on hiatus for almost 2 years. He was forced to bury his artistic power which is actually a very strong force inside of him that he can't resist. This song is about him surrendering to that "HIGHER FIRE" inside of him.
Nah, these concepts are not new to Ten. If you see his Hit The Stage with his performance/role as a crazy conductor controlling his dancers or as a possessed devil - shortly right after his debut.
@@klaaskay2685 lmao. taemin is the most dramatic/theatrical performer and hit maker of dark songs par excellence in kpop. long before ten and anyone else. this debut gives a lot of vibe and aura to taemin and makes a lot of sense considering taemin is his role model. it's not just me, there are more ppl who can see the same... hope this don't bother u. ten is very talented, i hope one day he will be as great as taemin.
Absolutely incredible stuff. Sure he’s never made a bad song but this is something else. Everything from the addictive soundscapes and seductive vocals to the incredible art is just magical and perfect
little fun fact if you didn't know yet but in one of the videos he made talking about more in depth for his concept for this comeback, he said that it was a more "queer" concept! (he actually used this word) which i found really interesting :) ❤
