It's obviously a phenomena produced by a spaceship entering an Einstein-Rosen bridge. The differences are related to the size of the ships, the distance bridged and the local curvature of space-time.
It's just ships dropping out of warp. Photons caught in the warp bubble and get safely dispursed when the drive is shut down and the ship reenters normal space.
If fermi is right, it would come from planets that were just welcomed into the galactic community. It is a custom to let the galactic community learn that a new civilization made it through the great filter ;)
Flash Idea. A FRB has to be some event that occurs like a phase change. Is it related to a gravitational wave, probably a small one? I'm going to take a stab at this with a speculation that it is related to phase changes in black holes that trigger the FRB. What is the phase change? It would initially be the phase change of a neutron star in a newly formed black hole that has gained additional mass that will cause a phase change of a neutron structure to a Quark swarm transformation. There may be other phase changes that can occur.

If you get a high gradient in Alcubierre metric and an object starts moving in one direction, you get a high impulse of electromagnetic radiation in the opposite direction. If a huge star / magnetar produces those kinds of Alcubierre-type space-time distortions, accelerating matter in one direction (towards the star) then they would emit high powered signal in the opposite direction - sometimes those random outburst would be pointed at Earth and we would detect them as FRBs. FRB would then be an *_Alcubierre explosion_* for lack of a better term.
I think we can be fairly certain that the FRB sources are mostly neutron stars and magnstars embedded in a nebula. Collisions of white dwarfs or magnstars eating up planets may explain the rest of the observations.
The repeating could be ignition pulsing the star material outward. And if the star is close to the minimum size required for sustained fusion, it would stop burning. The, with the outward energy from fusion stopped, the star material would collapse again --> ignition --> expansion, lather, rinse, repeat.
I wonder if the interaction between celestial bodies can act just like antennas to include being very directional. Are we only seeing part of what’s going on out there because of energy being directed in very tight beams at least in some cases
Like on a Yagi antenna you have a reflector, active element and then a director. There may be a lot of things going on and we just can’t see it because the energy is not always omnidirectional.
The FRBs are not all the same, so why assume their causes would be the same? Waves can be created by throwing a rock in water. They can also be created by earthquakes. Similar result; different causes. Thank you, Anton.
We are not moving towards the Great Attractor, everything other than Andromeda and the smaller Local Group galaxies is moving away from us. The Great Attractor is the biggest gravitational overdensity in the observable universe and we would only be moving towards it if you factor out the expansion of the universe.
It would seem that more than one mechanism could be responsible for these bursts of static. There clearly won't be a cookie cutter, one size fits all explanation.

Wait, after watching videos covering this subject for years now I gotta ask : How was this only discovered in 2007 and how could we only have 800 confirmed events of this phenomena? I mean sure for many scientific phenomena the above may sound normal, but here those things supposed to happen every second from every directions in the universe...
I think it's a calibration signal, because radio signals are likely longitudinally scrambled, because higher energy waves may travel slightly faster. All Gamma Ray bursts arrive here in order of wavelength with radio as much as a month late. If this were known in the year 1900, you would not believe light was constant today while inventing causes for the contradictions. Bet me Voyager 2 starts exhibiting the same radio problem that V1 did. I think it was the distance started exhibiting this longitudinally scrambled radio nature that no one knows to look for.

When they started counting up a lot of these, and coming from star forming regions, my thought was the moment of fusion ignition in a new star.
The repeating could be ignition pulsing the star material outward. And if the star is close to the minimum size required for sustained fusion, it would stop burning. The, with the outward energy from fusion stopped, the star material would collapse again --> ignition --> expansion, lather, rinse, repeat.
The stars are having hot flashes.
FRBs may be the end of many different beginnings.

I wonder if the interaction between celestial bodies can act just like antennas to include being very directional. Are we only seeing part of what’s going on out there because of energy being directed in very tight beams at least in some cases
Like on a Yagi antenna you have a reflector, active element and then a director. There may be a lot of things going on and we just can’t see it because the energy is not always omnidirectional.

The FRBs are not all the same, so why assume their causes would be the same? Waves can be created by throwing a rock in water. They can also be created by earthquakes. Similar result; different causes.

We are moving towards the great attractor and also everything is expanding, how both of these are true.
We are not moving towards the Great Attractor, everything other than Andromeda and the smaller Local Group galaxies is moving away from us. The Great Attractor is the biggest gravitational overdensity in the observable universe and we would only be moving towards it if you factor out the expansion of the universe.

It's all fun and games until we find a nonrepeating fast radio burst that's mimicking the digit sequence of pi.
I think it's a calibration signal, because radio signals are likely longitudinally scrambled, because higher energy waves may travel slightly faster. All Gamma Ray bursts arrive here in order of wavelength with radio as much as a month late. If this were known in the year 1900, you would not believe light was constant today while inventing causes for the contradictions. Bet me Voyager 2 starts exhibiting the same radio problem that V1 did. I think it was the distance started exhibiting this longitudinally scrambled radio nature that no one knows to look for.

FRBs are like giant bursts of static. They aren't modulated to carry information in any way. Sorry. There's no sense in trying to belittle the evaluation process of people, who quite frankly, do know ALOT more about radio communications than you do.
