So interesting you mentioned the ending of the episode where this song was used. My dad worked for two Chicago advertising agencies on which this series is based. He was a brilliant, creative, alcoholic living in that advertising world of booze bottles in desk drawers, long lunches with clients in fancy restaurants, backstabbing, credit denied or stolen, drinks after work, and generally unhealthy office politics and values. The scene where Draper and his wife sit speechless in the car as the Jack Jones song plays on the radio reminds me so much of my own parents sitting in our 1961 Dodge in the winter. My mom, with the scarf over her head and tied beneath the chin. My dad in his winter coat. Both just sitting there in silence. That 1963 song reminds me of my parents and the silences between my dad's drunken tirades.
This was amazing. You've somehow captured my three favorite dramas in The Wire, BCS, and Mad Men and made me reimagine them all. You deserve more praise.

Beautifully sad.....😢❤........
Thank you, JACK JONES for doing your part to help tame mankind with your gift and talent. In the meantime, I'll keep the music playing.
