Injury recovery and Dave throws more weight than the average gym dude does on bench! Great tips - I get some odd looks using wraps with lighter weight, but I like it and now I know why. That is an excellent coaching point - bring your chest to the bar. Works amazingly well :)
👍👍 Getting old ain't for wimps. I thought I was the only old guy with damage and still pushing the weight just for the love of it ! 68 today. Back tonight. Live Long.
Brilliant Dave, I also practice trying to bend the bar as you bring your chest to bar. Love your content. 16 weeks out from distal bicep rupture. Got to adapt as wear and tear to the body sets in with age and what we've put it through.💯💪🏴

@@squatcurldeadlift7346 I like benching and not even having to think about my wrists….99% of heavy benchers use them….plus they can help in over heads…dumbbell press…collars for the bar in a pinch
Super glad your putting out content no matter phone or whatever gold is gold
legend has it dave hasnt taken a full breath since 1981
Helpful to see what bringing your chest to the bar actually looks like!
That tip of bringing yourself to the bar won me a local bench competition last Christmas. Also going to be my last raw comp at that
Congrats bro
Let’s be honest. Dave can write a washed up meat head tip on a dirty napkin and people will
1- buy it
2- use it
3- implement it
Totally! He's so interesting.
I love Dave...love his knowledge, authenticity, and humor. No one else like him, 1 of a kind.

Dave with his phone is still better content than most of the TH-camrs out there.

Dave tate is just amazing , my dream is to be coached by him , good luck with the injury , amazing content
Just the benefit I got from the wrist wrap info was worth the time. I have more stability in the wrist by wrapping up with the loop in the palm.
I'm currently in this phase. Going to practice this. I had a broken ribs and a scapula during the TYAO.
Phone looked great, thanks Dave!
Elite is a state of mind.
Any time the great man speaks, I'll listen
Good shit, Dave.
Dave Tate the goat

Meathead? Yes... Washed up? No.... (Meathead is not a pejorative). Thank you Dave Tate.
Master of his body right there
Appreciate the content!
Great video Dave!
Thank you! Good info to know.
This man is awesome
Just had triceps reattachment … thank you for the meathead instructional.
Have a speedy recovery mate! Stay strong 💪🏻
Excellent tips!
Awesome 🙏
We need a washed up meat head e book
Anyone know what shoes he’s wearing in this video?
Nice Dave!!🔥👌💪😎
I think Dave and Matt should do a colab...

Dave, off topic question. Did you bench 610 before or after you tore both pecs?
After tearing both
Just casually talking with 4 plates
6 reps, Dave? Getting that cardio in I see.
Dave warms up with 405. Must be eating his greens.
Iv never known but why do people use wrist wraps? I bench 225 and I have zero wrist problems .
Lol
It’s a genuine question

JM Blakley thinks that wrist wraps aren't needed if you keep your wrists in the correct position, so I think you're saving money in a smart way lol.

Just nonchalantly doing a demo with 405lbs no spotter like it’s nothing - incredible.
Those are 25’s. It’s 245 not 405
He benches the average person's deadlift for warmup 😂
iphone 13 pro? video is crisp
"Moderate or comeback weight" sir that's 4 plates. That's over 400lbs.
It’s 245 not 405
@@eliteftsofficial that's still more than 90% of people can lift 😅
