As she has them done here they're like glue on nails in terms of durability. The reason being, that she hasn't really built up the stress points/apex and they're so so thin. Great looks, but not realistic for day to day unless you do nothing with your hands. It would be very easy to bulld them up though, and have a durable day to day nail. She probably just doesn't want to use all that product on something that will come right off.

I thought it was done with clear gel and plastic wrap, with chrome powder rubbbed over the crinkles. If you get what I mean. Traditional ice nails.
