Newsies is my favorite musical! My mom surprised me with tickets to the show in San Francisco in March this year. The overture started and I cried. It was amazing.
As a huge Newsie’s fan I could sing to every part of the song until the “strike, strike, strike” part because that’s not in the movie only in the play. I only saw the play once and didn’t like it because they changed all the songs and I grew up with the movie, not the play. My second favorite song “King of New York” does not make sense because it’s the news paper writer who was the king of New York “our man Denten”
