Great video!!! A friend of mine told me about the bridge pylons and I started to fish them more & have much success so bridge pylons is one place for shore another any time of rocky area & laydowns. Happy New Year!!! Stay Safe & God Bless!!! 🤠👍
Enjoy your videos. Can you address what you do with your plastic baits? How do you store them, do you have to keep them air tight to preserve the attraction on the bait. If you use a plastic baits, do you keep them or do you have to throw them? Does a certain plastic baits melt tackle boxes? Just would like to know what is the best way to handle soft plastics baits. Thank you.
Keep plastic in there original package. Take large Ziploc bags mark the bags categories style of Bates seal them all up in those Ziploc‘s cold dry place like your basement last forever. I’ve pulled power bait lizards setting in Ziploc‘s after at least 510 years open a bags still smell like power bait it works.
On my river laydowns are best for targeting largemouth and the shale wall areas with a rocky bottom are great for smallmouth. 2 other good spots for me are the concrete bridge and this steel mill left over structure/dock. I have caught 2 of my biggest bass on that metal structure and off a small marina dock area and the rest the other areas I mentioned.
When I see a steep bank with a lay down on it.. I' M HITTIN' IT😂 I like cover that offers the bass somewhere to hold despite what depth they are using. They can move up, down, in, and outside of the cover as conditions change
Thanx Matt. A old broken down dock or anything on a point. Another reason bridges are so good is because there made on a narrow part of the lake or river. A funnel area.

Lilly pads near deep water Reeds next to boat landing.. Old deserted , collapsed docks.. Laydowns ... Shaded coves with overhang trees,. Rafts, docked boats and pontoons.. The Frye Guy....
Lay down tree off any bank is my #1 even if all other favorites are available.
Yep
I usually do very well on a defined weed edge adjacent to deeper water.
I agree, it's a great spot to target big bass.
That’s my favorite type of spot !! Love a hard weedline along deep water or a channel

HAPPY NEW YEAR! Good luck this year Matt.
Agreed!
Awesome ones. I would have marinas in my top 5.
I do like marinas
For me having a condo on LOZ I find it very hard not to fish boat docks, thats where they are, bridge pilings are my number two.
Only a few on LOZ haha
I also have a LOZ condo on the gravois arm. Jig and trailer to boat dock ends is a must. Transition points and channel swings are also bass magnets.
@@Rick-z4h Thats where they like to stay! Im on the Big Niangua.
@@johnrayner5599 I believe the fishing is better up the Lake where you are. The north shore is absolutely crazy with boat traffic. Good fishing!!
@@Rick-z4h We say that about you guys but I guess the grass isnt always greener, lol Same to you and I hope you find them!
points or windy side of lake
Can be good too
Laydown trees with multiple logs floating within them. And I love fishing marinas with boats along with isolated docks
That's a great spot!
Mud lines in otherwise clear water have been magic for me!
They can be good too
Good tips Matt 👍 😊
Thanks for watching!
Rip rap would be one. They get a lot of pressure but keep producing. Thanks Matt. 👍👍👍
Rip rap can be good too
Man, I hope you can make it out to the California Delta at some point. It's got everything you mentioned
I'd love to check it out!
Thanks Matt.for the video

I’m not a fan of mounting real fish when you can have a replica made if you want a fish on the wall
Thanks Matt
