Well, I still think Landon Donovan was the best player, but Christian Pulisic might just be the next LD. That kid is a beast, it's a shame his teammates (well a vast majority of them) let him down, he deserved to go to the World Cup in 2018 without a doubt. Can't wait to see how he grows in the future. And hopefully we'll have more players like him.
What you have to remember is Pulisic is plying his trade in Europe. LD was a good footballer yes, but couldn't break Europe. If an American is playing week in week out, and highly rated (like Pulisic) you have something special. The MLS is a developing league and a good one to watch. Pulisic over LD for me

Camden Knies yeah I’d have to agree. Dempsey was and is great. His time is the PL was average which is impressive for his time, but imagine him in his prime with Pulisic. That team could’ve gone places
Donovan played well in the EPL. For whatever reason he chose to stay in the US. With the amount of players going to Europe, I think Donovan will soon be buried on the list of great Americans.

I like them better than English announcers. We are the USA. Not England. And we need to embrace the game and that includes getting main-stream American announcers to cover soccer here in the USA.
Not that most of these announcers fit the bill. But one day they will. lol
I love the English style of calling games. Alot more then how they call them here. ESPN hired Ian Darke though who is great. Im much more concerned with our player development though. CP10 is the truth
They over-analyze the game, from what I've noticed. English announcers expect that the listener knows the game and doesn't need a technical explanation of every little thing that happens. They simply add commentary that is pleasant and enhances the watcher's experience.
Americans overuse these technical terms and it's super annoying. It's like they're trying to make it a tutorial or something.
