Ay! Thanks for covering the PWHL!! That game was wild! It was Osborne's first career start for the team, so to stop 34 of 37 shots is damn impressive. Maschmeyer on the other team is an incredibly strong goaltender in her own right though she played a little sloppy this game. I remember when Ottawa faced Montreal earlier this season and the game went to shootouts. Masch stopped something absurd like 46 shots on net.
It was a fun game to watch! I’ll try to keep an eye on the PWHL as well. And yeah 34/37 with Some really nice saves she almost got the W for her team. I heard the announcers speaking about Maschmeyer being excellent as well. I’ll have to keep an eye on her games too
Please do one on Frankel! Also while you're taking about Osborne's setup Campbell for Toronto has two setups, one for home and the other for away games.
For those that know the rules better than I, at 00:27 would that be considered a hook by 94 in white or is that fair game? That directly prevented NY from able to clear the puck.
The stick on stick contact that prevents the clear is legal. almost all stick fighting is legal as long as the stick doesnt break. hooking refers to hooking a players body with your stick.
The PWHL is great! great looking set ups for both New York goalies. Is it just me, or does she give that ref a cold stare down after that bad bounce behind the net?
@Jbeen3596 tough break, but it's why we have systems for how to play pucks behind the net. Got to be prepared for bad breaks like that. When you do things by the book, you make more saves. Great work as always, Jimmy.
