I saw Wolfzeit video. Interesting take. I think it would be too, but let’s be honest. That may end up being quite a problem on the coding end of things
Love lazypeon but so much misinformation and out of date info. But I'll be honest I don't think I would enjoy mo2 with hundreds of thousands of players anyway. Around 1k-2k is enough to keep the game fun and exciting. I should say I've been a solo since beta days and is still my #1 game to play.
I loved LazyPeon for a long time but after the video he did on Crowfall, I realised that he's actually a really bad source of information. I wasn't crazy about Crowfall, but like 90% of the stuff he said in that video was just straight up wrong. He spent half of his video complaining that he couldn't find any PvP..... while spending the whole time in the starting area, and not even realising that there were PvP dedicated maps.... After that, I spent some time watching videos that he'd made about other games that I'd spent a lot of time in and noticed a pattern. It's fine that he doesn't spend a ton of time in the games he reviews. The problem is that he does ZERO research on them before he produces his reviews. There's been a lot of games from small dev teams that he's reviewed (and shit on with misinformation), and it sucks because a lot of those devs have poured their heart and soul into their game. Peon has massive reach and the amount of people that have changed their decision about buying a game due to his opinion is probably devastating for small developers.
I get where you're coming from. I think it's nice though to have different perspectives, because in reality, that is most peoples reactions to the game. A lot of people just pick up games temporarily and only scratch the surface. It doesn't do the games justice by any means, but, there are those who see it and go.... i'll try that out... and that is one thing I am grateful for -- his exposure.
"I wish I'd have met this goober when he was playing i would have bullied him back to haven" and this is why these games have tiny populations the player base is always toxic and the community is always too stupid to understand they are killing their own game when they chase off new players...
Well I think the person who I was quoting was saying this due to who he is as an “influencer” rather than a new player themself. That player I know personally and I think he was just memeing about
@@xGooselordx If those new players want a safe environment, they are playing the wrong game. Mortal Online 2 is a PvP game. Probably THE most PvP orientated game available today. Yes, it contains PvE content, but those locations are not safe. If someone wants what you have, and you cannot defend it, you lose it. Every person in this game was "bullied". For the ones that stay, they get better. I like to compare MO2 to skateboarding or other extreme activities. It weeds out the weak minded quickly.
the public test branch has massive haven and qol coming next patching, they're testing now. it's open world full loot pvp game so you're going to get some of that. But you're also able to find welcoming people and groups all the same. Imo the game isn't as fun without the risk and spectrum of encounters, even when solo.
the combat is great, i played for like 2 weeks i can beat like a lot of the players couse i focused in the duels and pvp and its soo good, i think is better than bannerlord combat. is top tier combat
I used to play Mortal Online 1 a lot but I quit because the devs were incapable of fixing bugs and every patch introduced new problems. Literally none of the systems worked properly at the point I quit, lol. How's MO2 in regards to bugs nowadays?
@@xGooselordx Yea, it is an incredibly cool game concept :) Not gonna try the second one though, the first one ate up my entire free time lol. And I get wayyy too frustrated with bugs
I picked this game up again this week and did some PVP today, is it just me or is the combat in this game even clanker now than it was 2 years ago? Like I go faint now and my character will always randomly swing their weapon in a random direction without any key input from me, sometimes they'll even just start spam swinging and I won't even be pressing left click it kinda fucked IMO honestly. So clanky now that I kind don't even want play any more tomorrow lol like what the hell did they change why is my character doing this? Also what up with not being able to turn off crime flagging I keep accidently hitting players and going gray when I'm trying to hit something near them, and it won't let me disable crime action why did they do that? Literally asked a GM about that and they just told me to get fucked lol got love the never endling useless starvault support.
You can revert the combat to the legacy combat system. The new system allows you to chamber your next attack after a feint but you can go back to the legacy in setting under gameplay
@@KumiHufanga yah figured that out some time, but also just uninstall as well later and started playing TarisLand. Not really impressed with some changes to the game and 2 weeks of being zerg ganked by toxic fucks ever hour or so gets old fast. Go kill bandits get zerged by 3 guys, go sewer zerged by 4 guys moment I get out guards argo range, try get bone tissue in grave yard for crafting leveling nope zerged by 8 guys instead, try find guild to join get told need no life game or I'll be kicked. Like between Starvault breaking combat system and toxic community rather just play something else game not worth my time let alone money.
