Oh Jordan definitely didn't ruin the band, since he was a huge part of what made their best album (Sempiternal) as good as it was. I enjoy TTS quite a bit but my isssue with BMTH post-Sempiternal is mainly losing the identity they've built with the first four albums, as well as their output becoming quite inconsistent and borderline messy starting with Amo, I respect them for doing whatever they want and still growing as a band in every sense of the word, most of Post-Human was awesome and almost a return to form, but then they decide "yeah let's drop this tiktok bait song called Die4U" and then they drop one of the worst songs of their career. But that's the catch with BMTH, they are never the type of band I can just grow out of or stop caring about (like with many others that I loved in my mid-late teens), they release a few tracks I dislike, a few tracks I'm indifferent about and then surprise drop one of the best tracks they've made in a decade (Amen) that also showcases one of the coolest bands in the scene too, and once again, I don't think we would have Post-Human or Amen without Jordan Fish, and the band probably would've never gotten as big and couldn't have taken this many risks if it wasn't for him either.
He made the band more interesting. I mean Oli and the band had already decided to go down this root. And Oli Found Jordan while he was playing in his original electronic band. Oli was sometimes 1of 5 people watching them play. And he asked Jordan to join. If he hadn't found Jordan when he did, they may have stuck with what they were doing for a short time, untill they found the right electronic guy they wanted. But glad it was Jordan. It's very interesting and clever how all this is put together. Jordan saying, it's so simple. But you've got to have a vision and know what your doing 1st, so it's simple to Jordan. He's so modest. So are the rest of the band. Not cocky and big headed like Ronnie from falling in reverse. Hate when people let the fame get to their head. It's too cringe
Back in 2014, a while after the release of Sempiternal. A short masterclass was given by Jordan & Lee where they deconstruct 'Can You Feel My Heart' as an example for how a song can easily be produced by anyone. With the right knowledge and skills. I've cut together the highlights of this 30 min raw class, in hope to compile an educating video. So you can also learn how to progress in creating music.
6:17 is when you can really see what Fish brought to the band... the atmosphere and futurism. that almost witch house sounding synth is still huge in music rn and i really hope jordan pursues making his own music, whatever that may be.
Haha. He's so modest. It's Only simple if you know exactly what your doing, aswell as having a vision and a great lyrics writer. They're amazing at bringing music together. And not simple at all. You could know exactly how to do this, but without a musical artistic bone in your body. It will sound a mess. Love this band.
i think where some people go wrong is trying to make something complex as to ‘make it a better song’ when really it could be doing the opposite, not always tho but i think there’s a time n place in a song where it’s appropriate
Such a cool insight in how they produced that album and how they worked out that sound. Jordan brought such a great touch and so much more depth to their sound.
I love these guys. The best and arguably worst part of being in a "band" is having others to bounce ideas off of. I wish I had that. I just make music all by my lonesome. Everyone I know who is into music (sadly enough) is more into drugs.
After 11 fucking years, I still find something new in this song, it's incredible. I was analyzing the multitrack of this song, I thought I heard everything it was made of. But! Jordan demonstrates at 7:11 that he mixed a female voice with the crash. And then I went to listen to the track again and I heard that "meeeee"!! This is fucking crazy.
I feel like Jordan Fish to BMTH is like Mike Shinoda to Linkin Park. Not at all trying to undermind the other member's talent and ideas, but just pinting out how the core sound of most bands come from an individual member. Sempiternal and, most of all, That's the spirit are what Jordan is all about musically.
I just learnt more about Music production in that video than I did in my three years in my music production degree at university no joke and I got a 2/2 as well
As good a musician as Jordan was in BMTH, and as good of a musician he still is... In Proxies he felt almost under rated, or maybe that's just because I like that band and think it should be more popular aha
“It’s pretty simple” I think Jordan Fish has no idea how good he is as a producer, cause even tho the music might sound simple to make, the ability to come up with those ideas that matches the vibe and putting them together as an arrangement, conserving that beautiful taste is not a simple task to do, only him can do it, I hope he never leaves bmth, otherwise the band would be doomed
they will. jordan said himself Oli is the main driving force behind the band. Dan Lancaster is also a crazy good producer so they should be fine. New track is dope
lancaster is a god, his own music is insanely good (unreal singer too) so if he even helps write a little bit they're getting a huge boost from that in the writing department@@triplej8666
and there’s still some dumbasses sayin jordan ruined the band 🤣🤣 I’m glad this man’s talent is focused on nice tunes and not core songs

Haha... Guess what happened :")
jordan saved this band and made their biggest hit. nuff said. long live the fish @@misaki_kh
Damn that aged poorly
Anyone here after hearing Jordan left the band? Looking at this, I wonder what the production will be like for the band moving forward.
We will miss Jordan a true legend for BMTH evolution … ❤ much love to your new chapter Jordan
they were still great and experimental without him they will thrive either way

legend
Thank you for uploading this video! Would easily sign up for a 3-day writing masterclass by these guys haha. 🤘🏻
@@MajorMoment If only we could istg, i'd give them my whole bank account
Thanks. It inspired me to try and be creative tonight :)

I find Jordan to be a genius producer… BMTH are an interesting and amazing band…thanks for the upload.
And now he is no longer in the band, so sad;)
Such idiots to let him go
Absolutely amazing producer
This hurts so much worse with the latest news. Wish the best for all parties.
11:33 “it’s real simple” c’mon Jordan 😂😂 it’s one of the greatest metalcore songs in the last 10 years and probably influenced the entire genre
Haha. He's so modest. It's Only simple if you know exactly what your doing, aswell as having a vision and a great lyrics writer. They're amazing at bringing music together. And not simple at all. Doesn't mean it's complex. It's still fairly simple from a musical standpoint.
It’s not metalcore
simplicity is really really appealing to listen to even ur some jazz fanatic you’d be lying if simple songs aren’t catchy and pleasant to listen too
i think where some people go wrong is trying to make something complex as to ‘make it a better song’ when really it could be doing the opposite, not always tho but i think there’s a time n place in a song where it’s appropriate
Jordan Fish is the Mike Shinoda of BMTH
Bro he can’t rap so I wouldn’t go that far to call him mike shinoda but still he is a very talented producer and keyboardist
I’ve thought this also
True!
@@AaronWalker2008 I don't thing they're talking about like what they do, more just Mike and Jordan's contributions to the songwriting aspect
We need these two to continue teaching. Their production is mind blowing

I learned more and payed attention here than school 😂

Bring Me The Horizon’s music saved my life 🖤🤍
Same here bro 🙏🏼❤️
Sad to see jordan fish go
and now he's gone

As always, Bring Me delivers the best they can. Awesome vid, thank you for uploading this one
Really awesome video, full of value man! Thank you for uploading!
This is so freaking cool. Love the insight! I would kill to attend a clinic like tis nowadays! haha

Well, bad news, bro.
Well fuck… 🤡
Hahah that’s my back on the video 🖤
So awesome that you were there bro! 🙏🏼❤️
Jordan master class🤘
honestly idk if they keep the quality on next albuns without Jordan
wondering myself how it's going to go lol
they will. jordan said himself Oli is the main driving force behind the band. Dan Lancaster is also a crazy good producer so they should be fine. New track is dope

Oli still good song writer even the time without Jordan but with Jordan that's when they became mainstream good combine good
They have the new album is awesome
They are musical geniuses.
Completely didn't notice what he showed in this song in can you feel my heart. Guessed the song only with Oli's vocals
We all knew he brought a lot to the band.. but, seems like he was the ring leader. Hope oli and lee were taking lots of notes. Huge loss
LET THEM COOK BRO! LET THEM COOOOOOOK
Wish he'd go through Amo
16:26 welcome to the black parade vibes
16:19 I thought he was playing the beginning of Welcome to The Black Parade.
😔
15:19
Looks like this is outside of temple of fun.
Aaaaand he's gone
Can someone please explain what exact sound effect is Lee talking about at 8:00?
Where''s the full version.,
Interesting they write the melodies on a keyboard before the lyrics. Maybe you get cooler ideas than if you try to sing while writing
Je ne peux pas croire qu'il ne soit plus dans le groupe
Which Programm do they use?
Logic, I think
Protools
@3:10 nihilist blues
Jordan is really the brain of the band. However, seems like another guy pretends to be the one. That's why he left the band..
Lee is kinda useless on that occasion tbh..
Now,he left the band 😢
