Thanks...I'm just also a beginner like you...it's just that Everytime I make gown for my Barbie I've learned a lot...the best tip that I can give you is use a paper tape wrap it on your barbie's body then think of the pattern you want then draw it on paper tape just like what I did in my tutorial. ..
If you wrap little cling film around body then masking tape draw lines down all around the Shape cut them out there's your pattern as most barbie doll differ in shape
@@prettydresses7522 if your going to make lifesize panel gown all you have to do is take the waistline of your model and then divide it into 8 or your desire number of panel...that will be your top part and it's up to you if how wide your bottom part is...

Hi!..it doesn't have a under skirt..the secret is you have to use semi hard or hard fabric and make it long so that it can stand alone..

U still need to divide the other 2 in 4 pieces. Basically you need 12 panels

No crinoline and boning...u just need to lengthen your gown..it will form on its own...or u can use petticoat..

Or much better if you use hard fabric so that the gown will stand perfectly when worn by your Barbie...
