you are completely right, Advisors have information and paths that are not disclosed to the public.. I profited £560k in 2022 under the tutelage of my Fiduciary-counselor. Am I selling? Absolutely not.. I am going to sit back and observe how this all plays out.

Finding financial advisors like Melissa Terri Swayne who can assist you shape your portfolio would be a very creative option. There will be difficult times ahead, and prudent personal money management will be essential to navigating them.

Give new groceries a ten year tax break to break into the market and punish the two local grocers if they try in anyway to interfere with the new competition
bring in ALDI !!!!
Bring very cheap ingredients from everywhere, don't put their provenance on the packaging, say it's 100% Canadian (and refuse to divulge information) and presto! Instant profit.
Also, bring in processed foods from the US that Americans won't buy because they contain ingredients from contaminated jurisdictions, put a new label on the jars that says made in America, and presto! Instant profit.
Also, sell organic produce that isn't really organic, but only labeled as such, and refuse to divulge any information to consumers, and presto! Instant profit.
Consolidated supply chains are what helped target canada fail
Such a discouraging discussion. Why would someone you has vested interest in monopoly like more competition. You should have invited a better & neutral person. These so called Independent grocer have investments in Loblaws & sobeys 😂
Foreign players in all sectors, then we'll see how crappy canadian business really is.
