I wonder who teach them when they create the first unit half of the selection course training similar to malaysia selection course gruesome,brutal but its okay because their are special force because if they cannot handle selection course training what will happen in real training
Bro ur army has never faced the real situation of a war, it is only know the ppl who face it, soldiers when they experienced the real war in front line and survived getting knowledge and experience they share with others in between 30 yrs of guerilla war fare these men are the experts in every strategies, they lost their brothers, by see their failures of life other one take that mistake deep into their heart, how many times u practice ur army in a training killing moral come in a real battle. So these men are the best, they gain there real experience throughout the war and created those parameters, thats why lrrp rank 3rd in the world best SF units 2020
@@worldwide74 i think you should look back into our history. Malaysian have been fighting against communist for so many years until they surrender in 1989. so we have a real live combat experience. If you know black hawk down, that is our army who saved American Marin in Mogadishu.

this is their basic traing.after this there are another 5 months off advanced training.where they go through arm traing ,there they will resive modern and advance wapons and equipment.untile then they are given normal equipment

They had been even making an attempt to create their very own submarines. Sri Lankan army defeated a effective terrorist group funded through more than 33 nations around the world without having proper resources. The actual amount of LRRP is a secret since the thousands of them are now early retired after the war and live among the civilians. No one knows even they were LRRPs. That's what their sacrifice was. No one knows about their sacrifices because they are Ghosts. Their promise was no to seek personal respect from the society and actually to sacrifice their lives for the motherland secretly. When the war was over, they went to their families like nothing happened. To date, no one knows whether their Special Forces son/brother/husband/friend was a LRRP/Black-Op or not for real. Currently the army only keeps 200 on the books because of the financial situation but the actual number was very high.

they are chosen from the special forces and commandos, it might be the special forces patch that might have been shown, can you give me the timestamp?
Yes there's no insignia for the LRRP unit which is the unit within the Special Forces brigade...But obviously they wear the Special Forces shoulder tab and special forces arm patch ....There is no specific insignia for them...For example there is the combat rider unit with the combat rider shoulder tab, combat divers with the combat diver shoulder patch and the airborne qualified members with the airborne arm patch...

@@theactivity5787 no... As far as I know the military intelligence only provide intelligence... But both Commandos and SF have thier own LRRP/LRP units which belong to 3rd Commando regiment and 3rd SF regiment respectively....

Directorate of Military Intelligence is a Joint Intelligence group of all three Intelligence services in Army, Navy and Air Force. And Military Intelligence Corps of Army is also a part of Directorate of Military Intelligence. Directorate of Military Intelligence is fell under the Joint Staff of Military Forces of Sri Lanka. Directorate of Military Intelligence service is also responsible for covert operations such as operations to kill High Value Targets. And capture of K.p. aka Kumaran Pathmanadan in Malaysia is also carried out by the Directorate of Military Intelligence with the cooperation of State Intelligence Service which is the main intelligence service in Sri Lanka.

United nations has accused this military forces and the opposition of committing war crimes. Whatever happened in Srilanka should be investigated and all responsible should be held accountable.
The United Nations is a corrupt bureaucracy that makes money from endless investigations.
Sure...mostly "alleged war crimes"...This is war..not two siblings fighting hence, obviously disturbing things happens...But our armed forces never committed mass war crimes like LTTE did and obviously there were very few individuals within our armed forces who had committed them and they must be punished! It is not fair to point finger to the whole armed forces because of what few people did...meanwhile LTTE should be banned all over the world and any and every person who support them should be punished for the war crimes LTTE committed for 30 years.
