    For some reason I feel like learning Mandarin Chinese will become necessary for success in global business positions if China's overtaking of the title for world's largest and most influencial economy and market. I've had family that traveled overseas for their job and specifically to Asia and they found it fascinating and a great experience. Although that was a long time ago I feel like places such as Japan and China will be very important in the AI and medical research advancements of the future. But I could be wrong America has so many unbelievably great universities and minds that it will be interesting to see how tings pan out in the field of quantum computing, AI, and Genetic engineering research. May the best minds win! Hopefully none of these military units will be needed in the future and we can develop a safer more peaceful world going forward! Great documentary!

    • @FloofyMinari
      @FloofyMinari 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There is no reason to believe Mandarin will become global standard.
      English is here to stay.
      China will never become as influential as the US. The Chinese are not known for their inclusivity or diversity in thought.
      Even China still copies American clothing style and music style.
      Doing business with China is also becoming increasingly riskier since Covid. USD, likewise, will still remain the standard global currency. After all, a democratic and liberal nation like the USA provides a more stable base for currency. China, being an autocracy, is subject to fluctuating financial stability.
      There is also the fact that the USA, with its higher standard of living and salaries, will attract a lot more people willing to innovate. So far china has only been copying US and Western technology, like high speed rail, electric cars, and AI.

    • @chengyangooi4694
      @chengyangooi4694 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      English still will remain to be the dominant international language. The reason is simple: Almost every country demand English to one of the mandatory language subject starting from primary school. Also, most of the international body have their paper written in English for better knowledge sharing across the globe. However, mandarin will become second famous international language to be learned. Mandarin will only be primary international language when China owned extremely big portion of quality technical/scientific papers generation. Most of the new science and technology findings are majorly come from China. China enterprise have great extend their manufacturing facilities/outsource to all around the world. Until then, English will still be the dominant international language.

    Something the united states has that gets overlooked is the fact that our military is constantly seeing action around the world. Consequently that means that our officers/ troops/ mission strategists/ medics and so on are constantly seeing action and learning the tricks of the trade from people who actually saw real combat. This dramatically helps our military to stay sharp and ready for combat.
    Since ww2 the US has been involved in wars and major conflicts just about every 20 years. Actual recent combat experience is a major advantage for any military to have in order to pass those skills on to the next generation

    • @ChristopherGray00
      @ChristopherGray00 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      it costs far less to not even be involved in a war and just look at what other countries did wrong and implement that into their military.

I get that the veterans are undergoing a separate advanced course, but they’re already in the unit? To go to the advanced course, and that requires 3 years of experience. But what does the course do? Or that we have people all over the world risking their lives every day to drag women and children away from horrible people, either currently serving or as veterans that just couldn't stand by and watch bad things happen from the sidelines.
      We'll ignore that a certain other country just annexed territories from a neighbor for the second time in 8 years and has been planting their flags literally everywhere they go since day one, or another country that frequently and openly talks about forcing its sovereign neighbor to wave theirs, "one way or another."
      Both while threatening nuclear attacks if outside countries intervene, I might add.
      But yup, America is definitely the big bad. Mmhmm. Look at us, colonizing away. Man, look at all those American flags flying around the world.. What's that? Oh, they're all right where they have been since, like, the 1900s? Oh, but surely, colonies are colonies forever... Oh, no, the Philippines was one, but they're sovereign now? Wild. Bonkers in fact.

      @@onerimeuse I think it'd be best if the US bugger off and leave everyone else alone. Stop talking rot about helping others and not watching from the sideline rubbish. That may be so during the WW2 era but since then it's been nothing but a war/killing machine. US and it's NATO countries have been bullying and bombing many countries to smithereens. They still occupy and steal Syrian oil. Their 20+ years war in Afghanistan left that country in tatters and then went on to steal Afghanistan's foreign reserves. Afghanistan is one of the poorest countries while America is the richest. Yes, that's how America got rich. By stealing, robbing and killing others for their resources. Look up the Bikini islands. How the US used the islands to test their nuclear weapons leaving the islanders with incurable illnesses and disease.
      The US used Ukraine as a proxy because the US doesn't dare to directly challenge Russia. Instead it armed, trained and financially support the Naxis in Ukraine so that Ukraine could fight and die to the last man. The only winner in this war is the USMIC. As to nuclear weapons. US and its western mainstream media r the only ones talking about it constantly. This is how the western mainstream media fake news, lies, propaganda works. They want to demonise Russia and anyone else who dare to challenge them. The only thing Russia has said is that they would use theirs if anyone else attack them with it first. The US is the only country to have used nuclear weapon and have first use policy.

    I see a lot of comments stressing that real life combat experience matters so much. Well I would say training is good enough. Most soldiers die in combat anyway so experience won’t be any good in the after life. Japan never had much experience before they invaded China and they thought they could take over the world.
    China never had advance technology or experience in modern warfare back in the days when they were invaded by Europe. Guess what? China is still here and stronger than ever. Training is as close as it gets to real combat. You got to start some where right? Training is better than no training. No army should need real live combat experience because, no army should invade another country. If you are talking about military experience as a whole and not for the individual then China has had thousands of years of military experience and if you mean modern warfare experience as a whole then, China also has had plenty of that. China is not the red Indians nor are they aborigines.
