  • Following the 2024 U.S. Election, we sat down with Verso authors to discuss the election results, what they say about the United States and the far-right movement, and what we can expect from Trump in his second term.
Noah Kulwin, co-host of Blowback, joins us to discuss Biden's legacy and talks about the future of American foreign policy under Trump.

Kulwin is a brilliant historian that tells it like it was and is. Blowback Podcast is excellent and reveals the manipulative horrors of the U.S. All 5 seasons are well worth hearing and sharing.

3 seconds in and I only clicked this because 1) Noah 2) THAT BEARD????
I always see him looking like he showered, rolled into bed, then did a zoom call from bed 8 hours later. He looks damn good here!

Don’t know how I feel about the choice to not have audio of the questions beings asked or even the text of the questions on the screen.

It very much depends on how well the interviewee's ability to construct an answer that corresponds to the viewer's basic understanding, and, relate this knowledge to his general argument.
I hate this style for interviews about technology, philosophy, or modern arts, you need to know how precise the question is to know whether the answer applies to it. Because the ideas in these fields can overwhelm the viewer, and, it's often used to spew nonsensical information by bad faith actors.
So I agree, it can be used for great effect, but, it can also be confusing if the interviewee doesn't respond in a way that makes it clear.

I feel like this was just a misspeaking moment, but: President James Buchanan was born in Pennsylvania in 1791, so it doesn’t make much sense to call Biden “the American Buchanan.” Maybe you meant: “the modern Buchanan”?

Great analysis, though gotta agree with others, Noah is very handsome, and funnily looks almost exactly like I imagined in my head. Usually I imagine people to be hotter in my head. Love the fit.
Hit my soul thinking about how much more optimism I had back in 2016-2019. Post Bernie’s loss in early 2020 any and all optimism has left me, leading to my radicalization away from electoral politics entirely. Many share my experience here.
Disagree on MBS though, I could see Saudi normalizing with “israel” now that they got a ceasefire in Gaza.

What a pleasure to listen to someone who starts every sentence with the word “like” and then uses said word three more times before the sentence is done. Very articulate. Another stellar product of American higher education.
