How Amad is just breaking through at United now is an absolute joke. We didn’t buy him for peanuts. He made his debut for us in Feb 2021 and scored his first senior goal a month later. There was also a final league game v Wolves in that season where he played with the likes of Elanga and DVB and was the best player on the pitch. The fact that we are mid way through 2024 and he’s just now breaking into the first team is criminal. It’s a bad look for Ole and ETH, who have both stunted his development rather than embraced. Technically, we should be looking to build a team around players like him, like Mainoo, players who are comfortable and confident in possession.
