    Thanks for the video. This is fantastic. Too bad that it requires a running computer/server. I hope they can modify the service to work with common cloud storage services, like OneDrive.

    Thank you so much for this, very easy to follow. One question, is it okay to shut off my central device (PC) overnight while I sleep? As there is no need for any file sharing to be done at this time. Or will that cause an issue ?

    Thanks for this incredible work. Last week I was exactly looking for this very same app. Glad it exsists!
    I've one quesiton, related to the cross saving between Ally and Deck (passing by my 24/7 PC).
    I've set everthing as you suggested (and I can put a file on the PC and see it on Deck or Ally so it works) but I'm not sure how to make it work with a save file. Let's say I've a game installed on both Ally and I want to automatically move to Deck. What should I do?
    Thanks again for your work.

      please see updated timeline under pinned comment. I have made 2 examples in the video show how to create save files on both steam deck & rog ally.

    It was a pain but I managed to get it to work with CITRA, turns out you need to go to Configuration>System>Storage(tab) and enable custom storage and change the SDMC dir, make sure to copy the contents of smdc folder before changing it to ta new dir (I put mine under /home/deck/documents/sdmc and it worded fine), after you changed the SDMC dir you can open with right click on the game to get to the saved data and extra data locations (You will need to sync both paths for some games, in my case I'm playing Monster Hunter 4 U and if you do not sync the extra data folder the Items sets that you create do not get transfered from one device to the other).
    Looks like the issue is related with Citra using its default Virtual storage path.
    Hope this helps some one out there.
    The issue was on the Steam Deck side of things, on my PC I did not need to change the SDMC dir or anything like that.

    Thanks for this great video. We should however do this carefully since both devices (ally and SD) are syncing both way. Wondering what is the mechanism which version gets priority. Latest timed version will win?

    • @ED4T
      @ED4T  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes the lasted version will over write the old version always.

      @@ED4T do you know why the decky plugin status says failed?

      I believe the latest steam os update breaks the plug in. You can watch my old syncthing video it showed how to enable it from gaming mode by using command method.

    If, for example, on Nintendo Switch I have more than 1 game, do I have to create a folder for each save of the game or is there a mother folder that automatically reads all the saves there are?

    • @ED4T
      @ED4T  หลายเดือนก่อน

      You have to create a folder for each switch game. The switch game save file is a mess.

    I love your channel and have watched for a long time, i have a quick question .
    Can i turn my PC off play on steam deck and save my game, then when i turn my PC back on will it automatically sync.
    i don’t want to keep my PC on throughout the whole night if i’m not using it since it consumes a lot of power, so i was wondering if could just turn it off and turn it back on when i need to sync. would that work??
    Thanks!!

      Thanks for the dedication and support.
      yeah you can do that. just make sure you steam deck is still on when you are powering on the pc. after pc is turn on for 2 minutes then you can turn off your deck.

    Hey, Man! Thanks for the videos as always! I was curious have you seen what ASUS is doing with peoples' ROG Ally's?
    There is this video I saw the other day and it just makes me glad to have gotten a Steam Deck instead! lol. If you're curious here's a Link th-cam.com/video/NHQqKi9NcTs/w-d-xo.html

      Thank you dude. Yeah man I watched this video yesterday. I feel sad as an ally customer. ASUS is just treating their customer as trash. I am happy valve is making good service on both software and hardware.
