My first SLR was a Pentax SP500 I bought from a pawn shop and it is very well traveled. It is still my #1 and I'll never part with it. I loved it so much I bought a backup one, the one you have in the video- a mid-sixties Spotmatic with 2 Super Takumar lenses. They're solid and unfailingly reliable. That one's a keeper.

I talk about how I came into possession of it in an earlier video and essentially it was sitting in the basement, unused for many years. When he gave it to me, he had it all wrapped in these leather holders and it was all very well cared for. It’s been a great experience using it.

You and me have followed similar paths. Still shoot some digital but man film is so nice.

It is definitely fun, but the cost is starting to get concerning. I'm actively looking at ways to scan the negatives myself.

@@ChrisFreitag 100% understand that but it’s so hard to duplicate. Like you I’ve tried everything. I still shot both because of the cost.

You want 15 or so frames? Medium format awaits. I got a Bronica ETRS and it’s relatively affordable. Regarding macro for film scanning, I bought the Laowa 65mm for my Fuji and it’s pretty great.

Medium format is on my radar. Thanks for the lens recommendation, I’ll look into that one.
