0000 Steel Wool for smooth cleaning of Fretboard and polishing Frets ...

Yesss! That's what I love doing too. :)
It's just a little messy and you really have to cover up the pickups. Micro mesh pads are way "safer" and cleaner to use for most.

Feeler gauges, notched straight edge(s), leveling beam, sandpaper, fret rocker, crowning file(s), radius gauges, neck support, fret erasures, string winder, tuner, string height gauge, ....probably a lot more I can't think of right now...

Fret Rubbers are essential to me. I also think a string winder is a tool

Feeler Gauges and String Height ruler. I used to be a "by feel" guy for my setups but now I measure everything and setup my guitars to my exact personal preference.
Also Fret polishing rubbers, a fret crowning file and fret rocker.

    Hi Kris,
I agree with all the tools mentioned here, but there are some others I would not live without:
    - Feeler Gauges/Capo for the truss rod adjustment
    - Precision ruler for the string action
    - Music Nomad Fret Polish Compound (less messier than steel wool and sanding papers)
    - Neck rest to lay the guitar down and work on it safely

I'd replace the fretboard oil (not a tool anyway - more a consumable) with feeler gauges. Also a string action ruler, string winder and fret guards (what are they called? the strip of metal with a slot in it for fretwork) are must haves.
Other consumables would definitely be masking tape and steelwool (0000 gauge) for polishing frets - whenever I change strings, the whole guitar gets a proper once-over.

🤓 Mal out of the blue:
The hb pickguards are fenderish spare parts. They have fender dimensions.
On a f pb the hb pickguard would fit perfectly.
The cavity for the electric at the bass is actuely more interressting to me. She is so shaped that on a fender pickguard one hole at the scratch plate is hoovering abouve air . This screw had no grip. I think it was/ is the screw under the volume... but it coud be the one between output jack and tremble.
To make the poti holes and the output hole to fit well over the cavity for the electric u need to cut out the sides near the bottom part from the neck cutout of the pickguard . A fender is more round shaped. A hb have a more squared shape to the neckbass . Use a stanley blade to scratch it in shape . Now the fender pickguard fits nicely on your hb. F..k the screw.
If u wanne play around use the hb j bass clone. Shape the cutout for the neck at your pickguard square and everything fits accept the screw holes. F..k the holes of d screws. Fill the holes with wooden meatspikes or make wooden nails. Works fine. Now drill new holes .
Just reminde we talking fitting parts for a fender on an hb instrument. It is the shape of the neckend/start. If u know this everithing is cool.
Back 2 d pb. For the missing screw on the pickguard u could glue easy a little bit of wood into the electric cavity. to give it the meat. Drill it. fix it. work it. party. Thx for the vid... try a 10 hole p bass pickguard maybe there is no worry about a missing screw ; )
Some sidenote: compaire to fender u can not just take a hb j bass neck and put it on the hb pb body. Thats funked and my onley issue with the fb clones from hb. But i gues it is the same reason as with the shape of the electric cavity by the hb pb.
    It is against the lol.
And it is not smart to mess with one of the most important surplier for string instruments if you are a music store.
    🤫
    Make music. Less bAss😘holes.
    Ps:

MusicNomad do a useful screwdriver/multitool called 'Octopus' which has a number of nylon hex wrench fittings on it. I like it because (a) you have most of the wrench sizes you need to hand already rather than carrying a full set, and (b) the nylon is softer than metal so doesn't 'chew' the edges of your metal fittings and is a lot less likely to scratch the finish on guitars or pedals!

The A and the Ω is the screwdriver. Is the tool that allows you to approach the 80% of your guitar. Strings, nut and keys do not need a screwdriver but everything else needs it.

Have fun.
Sorry. Now in english. U deepen the grooves in bridge and nut. Get the proper tools for it. If it is at the bridge to high and nice at the nut u just lower at the bridge. If it is just to high at the nut u just take away the material at the slots in the nut. Be carefull.
If u take away to mutch u get buzzing cause the strings will touch the frets.
I dont know where u from but if u have acces to a instrument or guitar builder just use him. It is not even 1 hour work to sand of the whole bridge and the whole nut. It should not cost u more than 40 Dollars Aus.
