In wolfwalkers the Lord protector was real in real life acutely his name was Oliver Cromwell and English parliament supporter who deleted the King and chopped his head in 1649 and in 1653 became lord protected but this movie is set in 1650 and he apparently died? Thats inaccurate
All of Tomm Moore's movies are amazing, but Song of the sea is my favourite from him so far.
I hope tomm Moore does a trilogy of myths and legends from another culture one day.

@@calumarter Yes, that's also very important. Although a movie that respects the culture that it talks about that I would recommend if you haven't seen it already is The Breadwinner. It's also by cartoon saloon. It's the greatest movie I've ever seen and it's so emotionally empowering. I actually didn't know about the lore of the wolves of Ossery at first, since I thought that Wolfwalkers and The Secret of kells shared the same concept around folklore. But then I realised The secret of kells had something related to Irish folklore that makes it different from Wolfwalkers.... Fairies! Although Wolfwalkers is definitely the better of the two. Because of its awesome characters. :)
@@kineshashekhar1853 I read in an interview online that said Ross Stewart and tomm moore were going to continue focusing on Irish myths and legends for their next film but I also read that the next few films that they do will be quite different so who knows what we might end up seeing one day.

It can be interpreted that way, if you view Robin and Mebh as a couple. Personally, I found it to be speaking more about the blindness we can give ourselves when we restrict freedoms and view people that are different from us as "other"
I think it’s more of a representation of the Christianisation of Ireland and the rituals and culture that it lost during England’s reign but whatever floats your boat buddy :/
