My band, Maelstrom, had the opportunity to open for Watchtower back in the day when they came to NY .... i was SO blown away by what i saw and numb that I actually left my guitar at the club ... and RON was totally cool enough to make sure it got on their bus, touched base with me the next day and got it back to me at their next gig. amazing guy! what other act would do that for an opening band they would probably never see again? great great guy .. and amazing player! Thanks RON! Joey Lodes
Ron Jarzomkek et une legende shred guitariste technique des année 80 tout ses projets musicales sont excellent j'espère qu'il reviendra bientôt avec un nouvel album
He totally is. He's a badass guitarist, and his ideas are insane. But I admire that he has websites, dvds, and forums dedicated to teaching others about his specific approach to music. He is really my #1 inspiration and influence. So I agree: Ron Jarzombek is a pretty cool guy :]
First of all, the chromatic scale consists of 12 semitones, not tones. Secondly, you can have a harmonic structure in chromatic playing, meaning that it isn't "just random notes" as there is a tonic and usually it has a counterpoint. Running up and down scales isn't the only way to do things, I mean, look at Allan Holdsworth.
Yoy yoy happy happy ! I am glad Ron is working on a new project.. sounds great ! I saw them on the Energetic tour.. Watchtower changed my view on Music.. Ron kicks ass !
@JacksonShredder777 being in a key means that all the notes are relatively a major or minor scale. Ex: C major and its relative minor a, have all the same notes. The a harmonic minor scale and the chord to go with it, Am(maj7), have a g#. G# is not "in key" but its there to sound harmonic. And on a scale note, most scales contain 7 tones however, are played to the octave.
honestly, why compare Ron to anyone, he's just insane good in his style. he has really original stuff that most people wouldn't dare write or play and that's why we love it!
Guys, if you like Ron you will also like Jeff Waters of Annihilator. They're both very technical and pleasant on the ears as well. I will have that NEW cd in my hot little hands the day it ships.
im always looking at shitty guitar shred videos on youtube, however this guy is one of the most amazing, tasteful, skilled and musical metal guitar players ive ever seen
Believe this is Spastic Ink recording not Watchtower. Ron rules- looking forward to his guitar instructional dvd soon!!! gonna shred! thinkingmusic co uk
I think they are, but it's been really messed up. Mathematics isn't going to be released as far as I know since Ron said there's some stuff that would date back to the 90s on that and just felt like it would feel outdated, and things like that...
pantera tunes down to drop D. I know this because I play guitar. Also, I'm watching a Ron Jarzombek video because he's awesome. What, I'm not allowed to like Pantera and Ron Jarzombek?

The Jarzombeks hail from a distant solar system where children are exposed to strange types of radiation that make them music gods.
Love this guy! His playing is perfect! One of the very few "shredders" that I thoroughly enjoy listening to!
Ron is a GENIUS.
Technology Inaccccccction!

I gotta ask Mrs. Jarzombek what she fed those boys of hers, because whatever it was, it clearly worked.
This is actually called 'Technology inaction' and can be found on brand new EP called 'Concepts of math: Book one'.
once I heard that riff I recognised it from this video right away!
This guy used to teach me:) He is a legend. Nuff said.

Probably my favourite technical guitar player. He is utterly insane.
I'm not good at musical theory, but the stuff Ron plays is not your everyday riffs, timings and Scales. That's what makes him a Unique Guitar Player!
he makes it look so easy. It's not fair.
@SimonHenrichsen
Mrs. Jarzombek fed them time signatures and music theory soup.
I was lucky enough to see WT once back then and I also never recovered! I was so blown away. So ahead of their time!!! them and VoiVod!
Yeah Ron is totally on a different level! Total Genius!
I love how he counts the beat with his head when there are pauses, it's so funny. Man this is awesome.
He is SO technical,he has a very unique robotic/mechanic shredding style ! Is amazing ! WE WISH FOR A NEW WATCHTOWER ALBUM SOON !!!!!
Nice.

I freaking love all of his guitars, I wish some decent guitar company would make signatures. Maybe Hamer should do it. They'd do a decent job of it.
On his website, he said he built it so he would be able to play songs from Ink Compatible live, which ended up never taking place.
Fast =/= good.
Ron Jarzombek is incredible. Listen to some of his blotted science stuff and you'd be surprised.
@aantiawp It's one of the guitars he built, he painted it to resemble the album cover.
fuckin awesome one of the few guitar players i look up to
chris poland

Very underrated guitar player
