Thank you! This video saved me $300. I know nothing about automotive stuff and was able to get the job done with this video.

Aftermarket fuel filter does not have same micron rating

I heard the aftermarket filters are causing issues. I use wix in my muscle cars for oil filters etc.. but was told the wix fuel filter wasn't good for the duramax. Not sure if you have had any issues with aftermarket ones.

Is this the same for the AT4?

I have a 2023 3500 Denali that now has 13k miles on it, and it's messaging me that the fuel filter needs to be serviced/changed. Isn't that extremely premature? Do you think just draining the water separator would be sufficient?

No change the filter. Diesel fuel is by nature, quite dirty. They usually require a change every 10,000 to 15,000 miles

It’s not premature when you have same fuel filter size as Chevy Cruze. Duramax moves twice more fuel than Cruze and requires same mileage filter change, it’s just insanity for injectors and high pressure pump to fail prematurely. If you love your truck change it same time as you change your oil.
