They more than graciously understood what i was going through and worked with me. This is what y'all has got to do, man up and talk to the lender. Because the last thing that the lender wants to do is repo a vehicle while they are the lean holder on it because it leaves a blemish on them when they have to repo a vehicle. They will work with you as long as you are honest and forthright.

Why? He committed to pay his car loan and the vehicle isn't his until it is paid off and he has the title. Why should whoever loaned him the money allow him to drive around in their property for free? If you couldn't make the payments you should have returned it or made arrangements.
