He wasn't likeed by anyone when he was introduced to ODI in 96-97.. his strike rate was about 50 in first 10-12 games.. he changed so much that he became the highest scorer in 1999 WC. But because Klusner won matches for SA by quick hits and some wickets he took the Man of the tournament. And dravid still holds 2nd fastest 50 in 22 balls in ODI by Indian. Shared with Sehwag and kapil dev. First fastest belongs to Agarkar 50 of 21 balls... the guy even adjusted and took up wicket keeping when asked to (he last kept wickets when he was age 14).. and went onto keep for 70+ ODI matches.. patience on field going up down every ball extra exertion on thighs legs and after that still batted for long hours.. he's done so much silently while sachin Ganguly sehwag vvs stole limelight. They have gone off fields several times but this guy couldn't because of wicket keeping duty. He's never celebrated like others and nerver demands attention. Still is silently helping Indian team by training young ones. The bharat ratna given to Sachin should have gone to this guy. Yes sachin is great at what he does. But how to do the duty for nation relentlessly is shown by Dravid.

I saw a video sometime ago, where Mcgrath said, he never tried to swing a bowl but he'd like to ball over 150. Speed was what made WI from 70s/80s so fearsome. Same goes for all pak lengendary bowlers. Fast hostile bowling helped india to win two test series in Australia.

I think this was one of the rare of the rarest incident when Dravid answered with both bat and eyes... Shoeib eyes and pace got down after each and every ball. End of the over, Shoeib Felt embarrassed while Dravid took physiological advantage.
I remember this watching live. Shoaib running from the boundary full tilt and Dravid would just leave the ball. By the end of the over, Shoaib was so frustrated 😂😂😂

I'm just saying, Test matches make more and more sense as I watch more. And as someone who hasn't watched Sachin/Dravid/Shewag in their prime these videos just show how different they were from modern batsmen (batter or whatever, that's a stupid term though).
I'm a football fan. Been watching, playing since childhood but when there's no EPL or Series A matches going on I love tuning into live cricket matches nowadays.

But because Klusner won matches for SA by quick hits and some wickets he took the Man of the tournament. And dravid still holds 2nd fastest 50 in 22 balls in ODI by Indian. Shared with Sehwag and kapil dev. First fastest belongs to Agarkar 50 of 21 balls... the guy even adjusted and took up wicket keeping when asked to (he last kept wickets when he was age 14).. and went onto keep for 70+ ODI matches.. patience on field going up down every ball extra exertion on thighs legs and after that still batted for long hours.. he's done so much silently while sachin Ganguly sehwag vvs stole limelight. They have gone off fields several times but this guy couldn't because of wicket keeping duty. He's never celebrated like others and nerver demands attention. Still is silently helping Indian team by training young ones. The bharat ratna given to Sachin should have gone to this guy. Yes sachin is great at what he does. But how to do the duty for nation relentlessly is shown by Dravid.

Same goes for all pak lengendary bowlers. Fast hostile bowling helped india to win two test series in Australia.

I think this was one of the rare of the rarest incident when Dravid answered with both bat and eyes... Shoeib eyes and pace got down after each and every ball. End of the over, Shoeib Felt embarrassed while Dravid took physiological advantage.

Dravid's philosophy: do nothing and see them suffering a brutal death. They might try to provoke you for a bit of kindness from you, such as getting angry to make them feel that they are winning, but just do nothing and stay on. :)
