My brother used to do the trash thing. And then he would remind us multiple times about how we owed him bc he took out the trash under duress. So now I make my sons load and unload the dishwasher, mop, clean the toilets with a q-tip and vacuum. I have never asked them to take out the trash bc I still get flash backs. Btw they are 5 & 6 years old. It will be interesting how their teenage years go bc their 5 & 6 year old selves have set the bar very high.
With a q-tip!?!? Omg that's great! Lol my kids are 3 and 9. My 9 year old does laundry and fold clothes my three year old cleans her toys and makes her bed. Sometimes. Taking the trash out is an argument between them both. My oldest says she will if I pay her. I just laugh.

I get conversations with my autistic son. I love him with every beat of my heart. But if he needs to talk to me it's right then. Iv woken up to find him stood next to the bed at 3 am an scared myself. Then I wake up an we will sit an chat till he's finished because that's the way he is.
