This song (an instrumental version) was playing in Hobby Lobby today. The memories of singing it in the church choir as a teenager flooded over me and I cried right there in the bead aisle. There's nothing better than the old hymns. Absolutely beautiful 🎶🎶🎶

Just a great song with well sang voices. It speaks volume to our pain, sorrow, suffering and loss, and more so, to place- a sanctuary, safe place, place of safety, rest, healing, care, renewal, revival and restoration. Not to mention absolvency. what a wonderful Jesus! we can always come as we are. what a wonderful song!

I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm also very sorry that much of the Church teaches that God takes loved one away from us. Jesus said in John 10:10 "the thief (satan) comes only to steal and kill and destroy, I am come that they might have life and have it more abundantly". For many years I believed that too and God can handle our anger, but He is really not guilty. He weeps with us at our pain.
