Hi Jason, always neat and tidy which I strive to do myself but never quite works out🤔. I hope your side of the bedroom is that tidy 😁 What I really find irritating though is as I start wearing my fleece lined golf trousers you’re in shorts I’d much rather it be the other way round! 😂 Cheers Jason, great video mate, John
Hi John, funny enough, my side of the bedroom is neat and in order 😇. Yeah, the warmer weather is here. Although a little wet and stormy currently..cheers
Jason, great video, thanks. You keep everything neat and tidy, perfect to speed up troubleshooting. You should a lot of tricks for us for wiring. Thanks again, be safe. Ken
Always great to see an Escarpment video, but no pressure at all, just great to see a new one out! I just can't say enough how unbelievably awesome your engineering skills are. And thanks for the clear explanation for us wanna-be's 😁
Thanks for the kind words Scott, my pleasure. Not sure about the wanna-be statement, everyone is at different levels. The build is my forte. I have a vision and have not deviated from it..cheers
Hi Jason, Great work, great video, you obviously take great pride in your work. Those push connectors that you kept referring to, can you let us know where you get them from please, eg ebay, Jaycar? Thanks, Paul Wodonga
Hi Paul, got them in bulk from Aliexpress: Just found this amazing item on AliExpress. Check it out! AU$1.98 25%OFF | 20/50/100Pcs 2P 3P CH-2 CH-3 Spring Wire Quick Connector G7 Electrical Crimp Terminals Block Splice Cable Clamp Fit Led Strip a.aliexpress.com/_mOXNpVI Cheers
Jason, just curious... why do you use 2 lengths of the same colour wire?, surely it would be easier to run 2 different colours or even paired wire with a + and - which would be easier when it comes time to wire things up you would then know x colour is + and other is - or paired wires without line is + and other is -....... Your time and meticulous work shows.
Hey Tim, good questions. Since I use reverse dpdt switches in the control panel, there are no plus or negative wires. A single wire will or can be both plus or negative at a point in time dependent on the switch position...cheers
I love your layout, am living in Unanderra and am building a 250 X 60cm N gauge shelf layout, May I ask if you made your panel facies, if so how did you print the track lines. Thanks Jeff.
Hi Jeff, a little unorthodox as I used Visio software to draw out the track lines + words and imported graphics etc. I sent them off to be professional printed on a custom cut acrylic sheet
Why pay for behind the scenes details, here is a link to my layout Facebook group: facebook.com/groups/theescarpment/
Great video explaining where you are up to! Greetings from the Kingsview Model Railway!
Thanks Dallas!
